2021 Fall Celebration Dinner – Save the Date!
Join the College of Business Dean’s Office on October 26, 2021, for the 2021 Fall Celebration Dinner which will be held at the Leslie Town Centre. A reception will be starting at 6:30 pm, and the actual dinner will be starting at 7 pm. The guest speaker this year is Doris Kearns Goodwin who is a world-renowned presidential historian, public speaker, and Pultizer Prize-winning, New York Times #1 best-selling author. Her seventh book, Leadership in Turbulent Times, was published in September 2018 to critical acclaim and became an instant New York Times bestseller. TTU Spirit Squad Fundraiser Night at Texas Roadhouse!
This Tuesday 9/14, Texas Roadhouse in Cookeville is hosting a fundraiser for the TTU Spirit Squad. From 3 p.m. – 10 p.m. anyone that shows the attached flyer (digital or paper copy) when they pay will donate 10% of their food purchase to our squad. During dead-hour on Tuesday, the Spirit Squad will be on campus handing out these flyers to students and faculty. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out!

Guest Speaker Sara Lowery
On Tuesday, September 14th join us in welcoming guest speaker Sara Lowery presenting a conversation on “Shining a Light on Mental Darkness”. As noted by the Center for Collegiate Mental Health, nearly 1 in 5 university students are affected by depression and anxiety. Sara Lowery was one of those students. In this personal keynote, Sara shares her story in hopes that students can learn how to reach out for support during those dark times and search for the light. Students will learn their intrinsic value and strategies to fighting through the feeling of disappointment, fear, and yes even loneliness. Sara will challenge students to really look around to not only find someone whom they can lean on, but also who might need help finding their mental light. This discussion will take place at 7PM in the Derryberry Hall Auditorium and is presented by the Student Government Association Mental Health Matters Initiative.
