This cleaning product drive hosted by the Office of Student Engagement is to support the survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault who use services from Genesis House. Genesis House is a safe place for victims to go to heal, receive shelter, get goods and services, and become self-sufficient. Genesis House also aims to provide comprehensive education plans to the community. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, so this would be a great time for the staff and students of Tennessee Tech to show their support through donating cleaning products to Genesis House. Donations can be dropped off at RUC room 208 and in the RUC lobby next to the recycling containers. Items needed are:

On March 27, 1915, a group of local officials came together to establish an institution of higher education in Cookeville. The university that means so much to Cookeville, the Upper Cumberland, 80,000 alumni and 10,500 currently enrolled students is 108 years old today.

The Graduate Chemistry Club (GCC) will be holding a bake sale in the south atrium of the Laboratory Science Commons on Thursday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a variety of baked goods available and we accept cash and card. Funds raised go toward helping support registration expenses for graduate students to present their research at national conferences. Tennessee Tech’s 5th annual I Heart Tech Students fundraising initiative kicked off yesterday!
Each year, the Golden Eagle community comes together to provide support for programs that put students first, and faculty and staff gifts make a huge impact! Thanks to the funds raised in previous I Heart Tech Students initiatives, the Food Pantry expanded their hours and purchased a new refrigerator to provide healthy options for students who face food insecurity. The Veterans Center purchased new computers for student veterans. And faculty and staff were instrumental in establishing the Eagle Assistance Grant, which provides emergency funds for students in need. When Tech experienced one of the toughest years in history in 2020, students had the support and emergency aid they needed, thanks to you.
A gift of any amount to any area on campus between Feb. 14 and March 27 counts in the I Heart Tech Students total. The amount of the gift isn’t as important as simply the act of giving.

Did you forget to order your love potions or are you in need of a last minute Valentine’s gift for a partner, friend, or coworker? If so, you’re in luck because the Student Members of the American Chemical Society is extending our love potion fundraiser for one additional day! You can purchase our love potions (plastic test tubes filled with M&Ms) from our Square Store today, Feb. 6, and we’ll deliver them to a campus office (for faculty and staff) or mailbox (for students) on Monday, Feb 13. Individual love potions are $2 or you can buy 3 for $5. You will be contacted via email after you order to determine the delivery location. We can even add a short note to the tag for you!
