The Upper Cumberland Community Host Group is honored to announce that we have partnered with Remote Area Medical to bring a FREE Medical, Dental, & Vision Clinic to Cookeville and the Upper Cumberland region again! The UCCHG is a group of Tennessee Tech students, one of three student led host groups in the nation, who work throughout the year to fund and run this clinic. The RAM Clinic will take place on March 18th and 19th (starting at 6:00 a.m.) at Cookeville High School. If you, or anyone you know, is in need of these services, feel free to attend. It is completely free, no insurance or ID required, and is on a first come, first served basis. There are a variety of services offered by some of the best professionals in the nation! Learn how to make crêpes at a Crêpe Workshop!
Avant-Garde’s Crêpe Workshops are back, with three possible evenings to choose from. Sign up for a workshop on either Tuesday, March 28, Wednesday, March 29, or Thursday, March 30.
Price is $10 for students, and $25 for non-students and includes hands-on instructions for making crêpes using three different methods, a variety of savory and sweet fillings, and a recipe book that includes the history of crêpes. Participants will make their own crêpes, fill them, and eat them (yum!).
All workshops run from 6:30-8 and meet in Oakley Hall 114. Due to the limited number of spaces reservations are required, and no tickets will be available at the door. Purchase your tickets by clicking on this link:

Bethany Kelsey Begins Internship with Rural Reimagined
Rural Reimagined (RR) is excited to welcome our newest academic intern Bethany Kelsey for the Spring 2023 semester. Bethany is a senior here at Tennessee Tech studying Professional and Technical Communication (PTC) that is graduating in December. When asked why she selected Rural Reimagined, Bethany said that helping others is essential to her “because it [RR] consistently goes above and beyond expectations to improve rural living by leveraging science, technology, and entrepreneurship.” Bethany hopes to assist and support businesses and entrepreneurs in the surrounding rural communities by applying her “understanding of technical communication and professional development while gaining knowledge and skills thanks to the connections made possible by this internship.” We encourage other students to get involved with their rural community! This is your chance to ask your questions about the competition to a former winner, a past judge, and Eagle Works staff! Support Your Local Freedom School on Sunday, March 26
On March 26 from 2pm – 6pm please join the College of Education for a casual afternoon at The Putnam Room, a long-time Freedom School Partner, on Cookeville’s historic courthouse square.
Enjoy a selection of fine wine, craft beer, sangria, a stunning cocktail buffet, and more. For planning purposes, reservations are required. The cost is $75 per person. Attendees may arrive at their leisure; a 21 and over event.
The event kicks off support for this summer’s Elinor Ross CDF Freedom School, a free six-week literacy and cultural enrichment initiative serving Putnam Co. kids in grades 1st – 5th whose families qualify for free/reduced lunch programs.
