The BSO Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and Tech’s Community Outreach

179

On Sat., Sept. 30 from 5-7pm at 42 W. Broad St., the Bryan Symphony Orchestra at Tennessee Tech will host a Symphony Social event – prior to the concert on Sun., Oct. 1. The event, $20 per person, features a selection of tasty nosh, wines, and beer.

The social and the concert not only celebrate Hispanic heritage and musical influences, but also support Tech’s community outreach resource, ESTAR Sanos – Be Healthy.

The ESTAR Sanos program is a health-education initiative of the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing. Since 2020, ESTAR has provided access, vaccination services, and valuable information to rural and Hispanic families/communities in our region. Visit https://www.tntech.edu/nursing/estar/.

Twenty percent of the Social’s proceeds, plus 100% of donations made after the concert during the free reception, go to the ESTAR Sanos program to serve under served populations.
