Join Tennessee Tech’s Center for Career Development and other Middle Tennessee universities on April 4, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., for the Nashville Area College to Career Fair (NACF) held at the Nashville Fair Grounds. The NACF is a collaborative effort of several Middle Tennessee universities, which allows their students to network with employers from the Nashville area.  This is an off-campus fair.

Gold and Purple Career Readiness applications are due April 21 at 8 a.m.! Now is the time to finish your application and get it submitted! There are still a few workshops left, so make sure you plan to attend if you lack them on your application.

The last day to start the Gold Career Readiness application is April 5. If you haven’t started your Purple Career Readiness application yet, email career@tntech.edu this week.

Rural Reimagined has awarded faculty research grants totaling more than $144,000! These grants, which are funding various faculty-led projects, will help support the success of Tennessee’s rural areas and potentially have an impact nationally or internationally. Some of the funded projects include assisting local mental health care, supporting small businesses, and expanding Rural Reimagined’s reach into more than 60 of the 76 Tennessee rural counties. In addition to expanding its influence off campus, Rural Reimagined also plans to aid the TTU community, and it has established more than $20,000 worth of scholarships to help make this possible. Campus Conversations honors Women’s History Month with “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories” on Monday, March 27th, 6pm in Johnson Hall, room 103. Speakers are Dr. Rufaro Chitiyo, Margo Dirkson, Dr. Helen Hunt, and Zaire Mattox. Everyone is invited and food will be provided. This event is sponsored by the Multicultural Affairs Office. Join the Center for Career Development and the College of Education for the College of Education Career Fair on Thursday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Memorial Gym. ALL majors and ALL students (freshman to alumni) are invited to learn about career opportunities with school systems.

Be sure to bring plenty of copies of your resume and be prepared to discuss career interests with employers.

Students should come dressed to impress and have their Eagle Card on hand to obtain a personalized name tag. This event counts toward Gold and Purple Career Readiness Certification!

Career Fairs are a NO BACKPACK ZONE. Please leave your backpack in your car or room.

This Saturday (March 25th) from 9am to 3pm, join us for a fun-filled day on the Quad supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities! Hosted by Alpha Delta Pi, Spring Fling will have something for everyone! With over 40 local vendors and food trucks, you are guaranteed to find something for you! Carnival games, pictures with the Easter bunny, and inflatables will also be available for families. Spring Fling is open to all students and community members, and it is FREE to attend!
