Do you still need to attend one more workshop to complete your Gold Career Readiness Application? Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, April 18, beginning at 11 a.m. in Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for our final Gold Career Readiness Workshop of the semester!
This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card with you to receive credit for attendance.

Career Readiness Deadline is Friday, April 21
Friday, April 21st, is the FINAL DAY to submit your Career Readiness Application for the Spring 2023 semester. All materials for Gold and Purple Career Readiness Applications MUST be turned in to the Center for Career Development (RUC 328), in-person to RUC 328, via email to career@tntech.edu, or online at https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/career-ready.php by 8:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21.
Substitutions or late submissions will not be accepted.
The Career Readiness Certification program is hosted by the Center for Career Development.

The Sharks are coming to Tennessee Tech on Saturday, April 15 for the 10th Annual Eagle Works competition!
Eagle Works is Tech’s Shark Tank-style competition where students create innovative ideas and pitch them to a panel of judges for the chance to win! This year’s awards total over $20,000!
Meet this year’s competitors and browse the trade show from 12-1:30 p.m. in Bell Hall 260, then watch the finalists make their best pitch to our “sharks” starting at 2 pm in the Bell Hall Auditorium!
This is FREE and open to everyone! Don’t miss a chance to discover the next generation of innovators!

National Cannabis Awareness Month and Alcohol Awareness Month Events 04/20/2023
The Counseling Center will be providing information on substance use among college students on 04/20/2023 in the RUC Lobby from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. in honor of National Cannabis Awareness Month and Alcohol Awareness Month.
That same day, we will have a documentary viewing of “The First Day” in Derryberry Auditorium at 6:00 p.m., a story about Chris Herren, a former professional basketball player, author and wellness advocate, who shares his story of recovery with over 1 million people nationwide. Through the power of storytelling, The First Day addresses issues that school systems, communities and people across the country are impacted by, directly or indirectly, each day including substance use, other harmful behaviors and mental wellness. Following the documentary, we will have an opportunity to discuss helpful coping strategies to prevent substance abuse. The first 50 students will receive a special gift bag.
