    How is your emotional intelligence? Is it something you have thought about? While learning about how to perform in your future career, college is also a wonderful time to increase your knowledge of your own and other’s emotions. In this group we will explore topics related to emotional intelligence, learn how to grow in these areas, and plan ways to implement them in everyday life. Group will start on Feb 10 at 10am.

    Friday Focus sessions are designed to provide just-in-time resources and information for faculty throughout the semester. Each session focuses on a different resource, tool, or program available to faculty.     Rural Reimagine Welcomes New Intern, Ellie Buckner

    Foreign Languages and PTC Student Ellie Buckner Begins Internship with Rural Reimagined

    Rural Reimagined (RR) is excited to announce and welcome its newest intern, Ellie Buckner for the Spring 2022 semester. Buckner is a graduating senior studying Foreign Languages: Spanish with a PTC minor. She will receive and enhance her real-world communication skills through work with surrounding rural communities. Regarding her internship, Buckner says, “I am thankful to have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with local businesses in the Upper Cumberland region. Being born and raised in Cookeville, the businesses, the community, and the people here have a special place in my heart. They have served me well over the years and I am ready to participate and give back in a new capacity!” Wings up!

    Respondus Monitor is an instructional technology that builds on the power of using Respondus LockDown browser by helping educators monitor students during quizzes or online assessments. Respondus Monitor uses a student’s webcam and industry-leading video analytics to help prevent cheating during non-proctored exams. During this session, participants will learn how to successfully integrate the use of Respondus Monitor in their course, from turning on the proper setting in iLearn to accessibility and other additional features.
