    Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, Jan. 25, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for the first Gold Career Readiness Workshop of the semester! A staff member from the Center for Career Development will be describing the qualities of a strong, foundational resume. 

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.

  • Tennessee Tech announces Harper Scholars Program for female engineering students

    Tennessee Tech announces Harper Scholars Program for female engineering students

    A new scholarship will allow Tennessee Tech to recruit the best and brightest female engineering students.

    The Trudy A. Harper Engineering Scholarship will be awarded to students majoring in electrical engineering, computer engineering or mechanical engineering. Incoming freshmen must have a 3.75 high school GPA and 27 ACT composite score, and preference will be given to female students from Tennessee. The scholarship may be renewed for up to eight semesters.

    Recipients of the scholarship will be known as “Harper Scholars” and will have the opportunity each semester to meet with the Tech alumna who established the scholarship.

    Volunteers are needed for a family outreach event on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the Oakley STEM Center.

    Toy STEM Story Safari Saturday for Pre-K – 3rd graders

    Join Woody, Buzz, and the gang as we rescue aliens with The Claw, help Slinky Dog escape, and take our imagination to infinity and beyond!

    Volunteers will assist with hands-on STEM activities, event logistics, set up, and tear down. The event is open to families  & their children ranging from Pre-K to 3rd grade. Please consider taking time to help & please share this opportunity with others who may be interested. Events like these are not possible without volunteers and we truly appreciate you donating your time to have a positive impact on the community.

    Food and refreshments will be provided for volunteers!

    Tech women’s basketball to host SIUE Thursday in nationally televised game

    COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team will get an opportunity to showcase its talents on a national stage on Thursday as the Golden Eagles will entertain SIUE in a nationally televised contest on ESPNU.

    Tipoff for the women’s game is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Tech men will face SIUE in the second game of the doubleheader at approximately 6 p.m.

    Thursday’s doubleheader will also be a Gold Rush game with fans wearing gold will receive admission for $5, while T-shirts will be given out while supplies last. There will be the opportunity to win an assortment of prizes, including Roku streaming devices, smart TVs, VISA gift cards and a mini-fridge. Students are admitted free to all Tech sporting events.
