Applications for the Scholastic Research Awards Now Being Accepted
The Scholastic Research Award, presented by the University Research Advisory Committee, is a university-wide award for a single, significant and innovative work produced, published, performed or exhibited from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2024. Two awards, of $1,500 each, are available each year, with one reserved for tenure-track faculty and the other reserved for tenured faculty. Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Dr. Mohammadreza Zakeri, EKU
The first Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar of the semester will be this Friday at 4pm in Bruner Hall 210. (Snacks will be served starting at 3:30pm.) The speaker will be Dr. Mohammadreza Zakeri from Eastern Kentucky University. In his talk Pulsars as Laboratories for Fundamental Physics, Dr. Zakeri will show how the search for new physical laws isn’t confined simply to terrestrial laboratories, but precision tests are also possible via astrophysical observation of exotic objects. These seminars are geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend!

Qualitative Research Community of Practice
The CAFÉ is excited to launch a new learning community for faculty this spring. The Qualitative Research Community of Practice (QCoP) is designed to be an interdisciplinary group of Tennessee Tech faculty who are interested researchers, scholars, and practitioners focused on qualitative research methods.
