    iLearn Semester Wrap-Up Summer 2022

    Join the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning for our next workshop session on Tuesday, July 26th at 11 AM. The end of the semester is the time to prepare iLearn courses for copying components to the next semester’s courses. This process involves updating Master iLearn courses, as well as cleaning up existing semester courses. In this session, we will discuss the exact procedures for adding, deleting, and modifying content topics, quizzes, assignments, discussions, and other iLearn components. The process of copying, exporting, and importing entire courses and between semesters is also explained in detail. Lastly, we will elaborate on the steps for selecting specific items to be copied as well as how to manage or offset start, end, and due dates.     Designing Assessments

    Join the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning on Tuesday, July 19th at 11 AM for our next workshop session, Designing Assessments. Assessments are a tool designed to help measure student mastery of course outcomes and objectives. In this workshop, we will review the types of assessments as well as the purpose and reasoning behind implementing effective assessments in your courses. We will walk through the importance of both formative and summative assessments along with the tools available for each one.   • Oakley Farms Produce

    Oakley Farms Produce

    We have a new delivery of tomatoes and produce available for purchase from Oakley Farm! This week, we have Big Beef, Cherokee Purple, Sungold and Roma tomatoes available for $2 per pound. We also have cucumbers available for pickup, two for $1. We can accept cash and check payments.   • Veteran’s Service-Connected Disability Leave

    Effective July 1, 2022

    In accordance with State of Tennessee House Bill 1578, Tennessee Tech University made the following addition to TTU Policy 617 – Family, Medical, and Service Member Leave, Section IV., E., 3.

    A Tennessee Tech employee who is a veteran with a service-connected disability of thirty percent (30%) or more receives thirty-six (36) hours of leave each year that can be used to attend appointments related to the service-connected disability.  However, no unused leave remaining at the end of the year may not be carried to the subsequent year.

  • General Complaint Reporting – Summer 2022

    General Complaint Reporting

    In addition to the Fraud, Waste, or Abuse reporting form, Tennessee Tech also has a form on Internal Audit’s website for confidentially reporting complaints about accounting, internal control, auditing matters, code of conduct, and other related issues that are NOT fraud, waste, or abuse. Complainants remain COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS to Internal Audit unless the last section of the form is completed. General complaints received on this form are routed to appropriate campus departments for follow-up.

    The form can be submitted online or completed, printed, and mailed to Internal Audit, PO Box 5154, Cookeville, TN 38505.
