Summer Hours for Campus Pantry
The Food Pantry will open June 20 – July 27 for the Summer. Mondays and Thursdays 9am – 5pm.
We have the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics Program helping us open for the Summer. We appreciate them.
There will still be some renovations going on at the end of July.
The auxiliary pantry will remain open all summer, behind the desk in the library. Please utilize this resource when the main pantry is closed.

Tech Farm Tomato Sale
We’re excited to be back with tomatoes from Oakley Farm! We are taking orders beginning with our SunGold tomatoes, $5.00 per pound. To place your order email Lisa Rice at lrice@tntech.edu. List your name, email, phone# and how many pounds you would like to order.
We will contact you when your order is ready for pickup.
Future orders will consist of Roma tomatoes, Big Beef and Purple Cherokee.

Communications & Marketing Project Deadline Is June 22
The Office of Communications & Marketing, which includes Creative Services, Photo & Video Services, Web Services and Printing Services, will not be accepting any more projects after June 22, 2022 through the end of the fiscal year. This will allow for the current project load to be completed and billed by the end of the fiscal year.

401(k) Plan Match Doubled for FY23
General State and Higher Education Employees will be eligible to receive a $2 match for every $1 contributed to the State of Tennessee 401(k) plan each month, up to $100, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022. That’s a maximum match of $100 per month for contributions of $50 or more.
If you’re already contributing at least $50 to your 401(k) account each month, great news! You are all set to receive the full $100 match beginning with the first payroll for FY23.
If you haven’t yet enrolled or aren’t currently contributing at least $50 each month to the 401(k) account, don’t leave extra money on the table! To get the full match for the fiscal year, log into your 401(k) account now at RetireReadyTN.gov to make sure your monthly contributions equal at least $50 per month.
The increased match is currently approved for fiscal year 2023, which runs July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

Critical Thinking
Join the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning on Tuesday, June 7th at 11 AM for the first session in on summer workshop series on implementing 21st Century Skills into your courses. This session will discuss the importance of critical thinking and how it prepares students for a lifetime of self-directed learning. We will discuss ways of implementing critical thinking activities in your curriculum, fostering metacognition, in-context learning, and inductive and deductive reasoning.
