    Main Food Pantry Closed for Renovations

    The main food pantry on campus will be closed for renovations May 9 – June 19, 2022.

    In the interim, the Auxiliary Pantry in the library will be stocked and open for clients to stop by once a week if they would like, any hours the library is open.

    Another option for folks needing the assistance May 9 – June 19, is the First United Methodist Church Pantry over in downtown Cookeville.  They serve our students anytime we are not able to be open | 165 E. Broad St., Cookeville, TN 38501 | 931.526.2177.

    As long as renovations go as scheduled, we plan to be open June 20 – July 28, 2022 | Mondays and Thursdays | 9am – 5pm | with volunteers from the Food, Nutrition and Dietetics graduate and undergraduate programs.

    May 6 through May 12 is National Nurses Week!  Celebrate this week by thanking our heroes – the faculty and staff of the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing and of the J.J. Oakley Health Services Center – for their roles as educators and care providers to the campus and community.  Be sure to show your appreciation for their services and to thank a nurse!

  • Attention Members of the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS)

    Attention Members of the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS)

    Beginning May 9, state and higher education employees who are members of the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS) will have the opportunity to elect their representatives to the board that oversees their retirement benefits.

    Every three years, TCRS administers an election, the election of state employee representatives is being conducted May 9 – 27, and state employees are encouraged to vote. The upcoming term for new state employee representatives on the TCRS Board of Trustees begins July 1, 2022.

    On Monday, May 9, ElectionsOnline will email all state employee members on behalf of TCRS from the email address, vote@skypunch.tech. The email will provide a link for state employees to vote electronically.

    Please note that the email from vote@skypunch.tech has been authorized by the Tennessee Department of Treasury and is not spam.

    To be eligible to vote in this election, you must be a member of the TCRS. By casting your vote, you will certify your membership. You will cast your vote for two candidates and may only vote one time.

    The Office of Communications & Marketing will be closed next week, May 9 to May 13, to allow staff to transition to their new workspaces in Crawford Hall. The office will be occupying the entire first floor of Crawford, and this is a permanent move. New projects requested during the week of May 9 will receive a response the following week.   • CITL Summer Intensive

    CITL Summer Intensive

    Registration is now open for the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning 2022 Summer Intensive taking place May 16th and 17th from 8 AM – 12 PM. This event will include interactive sessions, group discussions, and time to work directly with the CITL staff on your course.  Our Intensive will take place both in person in Volpe Library Room 112 and virtually via Microsoft Teams.     Congratulate graduates with an ad on the jumbotron inside the Hooper Eblen Center! The Office of Communications and Marketing is accepting requests to create ads to be shown on the jumbotron at commencement on Friday, May 6. Congratulate students from your college, departments, honor society or organization on the big screen!
