    Tennessee Tech’s Commission on the Status of Women invites you to submit your nominations by (NEW DEADLINE) Wednesday, December 6 for the following two awards:

    The CSW Excellence Award is presented annually to an individual employed by Tennessee Tech University who has contributed significantly to gender equity. The award honors three qualities that characterize the tradition of women’s leadership at Tech: perseverance, generosity, and mentorship.

    The Alison Piepmeier Outstanding Student Award celebrates Piepmeier’s legacy of fierce feminism by recognizing an exceptional Tennessee Tech student whose research, activism and/or outreach advances gender equity. It acknowledges a student who shows a passion for learning, assists others, and contributes significantly to campus community.

During this session, we will present insights from data gathered through the Institutional Dashboard and our latest round of Small Group Instructional Diagnostics (SGIDs).     OCM Seeking Student Workers for Spring

    Communications & Marketing has job openings in Social Media and Web and Digital Media for student workers for next semester. Paid positions and internships available.

    Social Media students help use social media to tell the story of Tennessee Tech. They craft and execute content for social media platforms, and effective communication skills and a demonstrated writing ability are required. Experience with photo and video a plus.

    The Web and Digital Media student worker will need to be able to design and coordinate content that supports our digital map and signage platforms that is visually appealing and aligns with the university’s brand and messaging. Skills in Adobe Creative products, Canva, or other digital content creation tools are required.

    Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are required. The position is open to all majors.

    Printing Services on the campus of Tennessee Tech University can now print stickers. Promote your college, department, club, or student organization with customizable stickers. The stickers come on rolls, can be custom shapes, be any color or colors you choose, have a clear or white background, and can be laminated. Prices will vary according to size and quantity ordered. Stickers are one of the least expensive yet most effective ways to promote your group or event. Sticker printing is one of the many printing options offered by Printing Services.   • Autonomous Robotics Club VEX U Team Claims 1st Place on Global Skills Ranking!

    Autonomous Robotics Club VEX U Team Claims 1st Place on Global Skills Ranking!

    Last Saturday, the Golden Eagles VEX U Robotics Team associated with the Autonomous Robotics Club (ARC) achieved the current highest combined skills score among all VEX U teams around the world, which has 300+ teams competing annually. In the VEX Robotics Competition, teams clash with the goal of outscoring their opponent in robot sports.
    The Skills Challenge of VRC allows teams to run a time trial, where their goal is to score points unopposed during a 1-minute period. Teams get 3 autonomous runs where the robot runs off its own code and sensors, and 3 driver controlled runs where team members operate the robots. ARC’s max scores were 134 driver and 61 autonomous, for a max total score of 195.
    ARC will clash with other teams from around the country at their first tournament of the season on December 2nd. For more info about Autonomous Robotics Club, come see us in the iMakerSpace (3rd floor of the Library) on Tuesdays at 7pm, and join our Discord server through the student hub!
