Dr. Donald Asher is an internationally recognized author and speaker on the topics of careers and higher education. In media, he has been called “America’s Job Search Guru.” Asher assists C-level executives with career transitions and works with MBA and graduate programs nationwide. He recently served as the content architect for Elites Optimization Services (EOS). His career books include the ground-breaking “Cracking the Hidden Job Market”. He has also written “The Overnight Resume” and “Who Gets Promoted” (named career management book of the year).

Both events will take place on Wednesday, Mar. 2, in the Derryberry Auditorium and count towards Part Two of the Purple or Gold Career Readiness application.

Money Maker$pace is a hands-on event for Pre-K through 3rd grade to gain knowledge on financial literacy. Financial literacy is the foundation of your relationship with money, and it is a lifelong journey of learning!

Safari Saturdays are free workshops in hands-on science and math for young learners (PreK-3rd graders) and their families.

A parent/guardian must remain with the student/students regardless of age.

Black women in sports have historically faced double discrimination due to their gender and race. A number of Black female athletes have emerged as trailblazers in their particular sports over the years, from track and field and tennis to figure skating and basketball. Unfortunately, these women and their accomplishments are largely forgotten or ignored. This presentation will highlight some of their unique contributions to sports and the struggles they had to overcome on the road to victory. Join in at 6pm on February 28th in Johnson Hall Room 103. Are you interested in Co-op? Need to find out how YOU can be Co-op eligible? Attend this Co-op Meetup on Thursday, Feb. 24, in Clement Hall 212 at 11 a.m. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup.

The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students.  Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step!  The new eligibility guidelines can be found at: https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/coop-eligibility.php.
