Hispanic Heritage Month Film Screening

224

Golden Eagles! The Women’s Center invites to you to come out and help us celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a free film screening of the film Dolores!

The screening is on Tuesday, September 27th at 6:00 PM in Stonecipher Hall Room 126.

The film follows the life of Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers’ Union with Cesar Chavez. From IMDB, “Dolores Huerta bucks 1950s gender conventions by starting the country’s first farm worker’s union with fellow organizer Cesar Chavez. What starts out as a struggle for racial and labor justice, soon becomes a fight for gender equality within the same union she is eventually forced to leave.” Contact hrhoward43@tntech.edu for questions.
