    The Nashville Area College to Career Fair is Thursday, Mar. 31

    Join Tennessee Tech’s Center for Career Development and other Middle Tennessee universities on Mar. 31, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Nashville Fair Grounds. Students may request to ride the Regions Bank Bus to the Career Fair. Any student who is interested in taking the bus needs to email Clay Wesley at cwesley@tntech.edu. Space is limited so reserve your seat NOW!!!

    The Nashville Area College to Career Fair is a collaborative effort of several Middle TN universities, which allows their students to network with employers from the Nashville area. ALL majors and ALL students (freshman to alumni) are invited to discuss career opportunities!

    Students are encouraged to pre-register, so that they are able to be seen by employers ahead of the event. Students can also obtain a personalized name tag at the event if they register ahead! You can pre-register and preview the employer list at:

    Apply Now for LeaderShape’s Catalyst Program (Deadline April 1)!

    Catalyst is a one-day, intensive leadership program focused on learning to develop your own authentic path, connect to groups and causes you care about, and commit to a plan to be a catalyst for yourself and the groups you’re part of. This program is designed to help student leaders at Tech find their unique path to becoming a stronger leader.

    In partnership with the Center for Student Engagement, Center for Career Development, and Student Success, we are bringing LeaderShape’s Catalyst program and facilitators to campus to provide undergraduate students a chance to strengthen their leadership abilities and enhance their impact on campus and within the community.

    There is a limited number of spots for this year’s Catalyst program. Undergraduate students that are interested in participating within this program should complete the online application (on the website linked below). The in-person program will be hosted Saturday, April 23 from 9:30a – 4:30p (central) hosted on Tennessee Tech’s campus. Additional information will be communicated to those candidates chosen for this year’s program.

    Thank you to the Tennessee Tech faculty and staff who have supported the 4th annual I Heart Tech Students fundraising initiative! This initiative concludes on March 28, so there’s still time to make your gift.

    All Tech faculty and staff who make a gift to this year’s initiative are invited to the Varsity Building on April 1 for breakfast, door prizes and more. If you have a busy morning that day, no problem! We’ll provide to-go breakfast and coffee options. Be sure to make your gift by March 28 to receive your invitation.     Join the College of Business for the spring semester’s Tech Talk series! This program features faculty/staff that have extraordinary stories or experiences to share…or maybe a unique hobby or interest. We will feature a different guest speaker each session, giving each 17 mins to present and allowing time for discussion, questions, etc.

    Real connections with the TN Tech family of faculty and staff are becoming increasingly important in student persistence efforts. As you explore and engage in transformational experiences on campus, why not come see a side of us that is both engaging and potentially transformational.

    Want to have a plant-tastic time? The Residence Hall Association is inviting you to attend our Patio Painting and Planting event on Friday, March 25th, 4-6pm on the RUC Patio outside Swoops.  Come enjoy painting a pot and planting a seed or succulent in it!  We will also have Polaroid pictures, refreshments, and music!  We hope to seed you there! 🙂

    Gold Career Readiness Workshop on Mar. 22: Interview Skills for Interns & Co-ops

    Join the Center for Career Development on Tuesday, Mar. 22, beginning at 11 a.m. in the Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room (2nd floor) for this Gold Career Readiness Workshop. A staff member from the Center for Career Development will discuss the top skills that you need for a successful internship or Co-op interview.

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card for a quick sign-in.

    Join TVA’s Chief Information Security Officer and Vice President of Cybersecurity, Andrea Brackett, for a discussion on her career journey and the future of technology at TVA! The event will take place virtually on Tuesday, Mar. 22, from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. CST (3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. EST).

    The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) provides electricity for 153 local power companies serving 10 million people in Tennessee and parts of six surrounding states, as well as, directly to 57 large industrial customers and federal installations.

    Come and practice your French at Beginners’ Conversation Hour on Thursday, March 10 from 11-11:45 in Oakley 214. Organized and run by students, French Conversation Hour is open to all speakers of French, regardless of level, and uses games and activities to help everyone get involved.     The TTU Wildlife Society Chapter will be having a meeting this week. The goals of the TWS are to aid wildlife professionals in research and education. As a group, we do volunteer work, participate in competitions, make professional contacts in the wildlife field, and have a good time doing so!
