NAVSEA solves difficult problems for the Navy and joint forces. They invent, develop, acquire, and test combat systems and equipment to provide superior technology to defeat current and future threats across many different and complex environments. They continually seek to improve their ships, systems, and related technologies.

Don’t miss the Employer Expo Job and Internship Fair happening next Tuesday, September 19!  This recruiting event will house almost 200 organizations who are actively seeking co-op, internship, and full-time, entry-level positions.  Employers will be at the Employer Expo to meet and discuss their employment opportunities with you!

The Employer Expo will be held from 10am to 2pm in the Burnett Center and ALL Majors are invited to attend. Students will need to enter through the main front entrance of the BURN. Be sure to bring your Eagle Card with you so we can make a personalized nametag for you upon arrival!

Remember, Career Fairs are NO BACKPACK ZONES – please leave your backpack in your car or room!

?Calling all students who need some self-care!!?

We are excited to announce our first Self-Care group! For the month of October, join us on Fridays from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the Eagle Resource Room (RUC 387) to learn about self-care and how to best engage in self-care practices. Believe it or not, you are worth taking care of. We can’t wait to help you learn how to protect your own well-being and happiness as the semester progresses.

Are you struggling to work through unresolved trauma? Join our trauma recovery group to learn about the different ways trauma can affect us, develop techniques that may help in times of distress, as well as being a positive support for others who also struggle with the same experiences. This group will meet every Friday from 3:00pm-4:00pm in the Eagle Resource Room, RUC 387, starting September 22nd. Contact Tessa Benefield at tbenefield@tntech.edu if you’re interested. Effective networking begins on day 1 of college, not at graduation! For first-year students, it can be hard to know how to get connected to the college campus. Yet, networking strategies are skills students take with them into their lives and careers. This workshop is geared toward first-year students to teach networking strategies that can immediately be applied.
