Center Stage present Jennifer Case, who will speak Tuesday October 14 at 7 p.m. in Stonecipher, Room 113.

In addition to her evening presentation, Case will provide a Craft Talk/Workshop that afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in Henderson Hall 307A on writing creativity with research.

Case is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. She is the author of two books, Sawbill: A Search for Place, and We Are Animals: On the Nature and Politics of Motherhood, which was published by Trinity University Press in September 2024.  Case will give an open public reading from We Are Animals:

Dr. Joshua Hauser will present a faculty Trombone recital at 7:30pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025in Wattenbarger Auditorium.

This exciting and diverse program will include works composed as early as 1730 and as recently as the summer of 2025. Featuring music by Camille Saint-Saëns, Antonio Vivaldi, Dayla Spencer, Brian Sadler, and Astor Piazzolla, Hauser will be joined by Josh Davis, Piano; Jeff Womack, Bassoon; Scott Johnson, Trombone; Jack Seger, Bass Trombone; Preston Light, Tuba and Cimbasso; and Colin Hill, Drums.

Kids and their grownups are invited to learn the art of shibori and dyeing with indigo at this Saturday’s Family Craft Studio! Free and open to the public! TTU’s Bryan Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert in Dogwood Park on Sunday evening, August 31st, at 7pm. , featuring music from Wicked, Superman, How to Train Your Dragon, and a musical remembrance of Chuck Mangione and the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson. Pre-concert activities for children will start at 6pm. Come dressed as a favorite character from one of the movies listed above, or even a beach boy or Chuck Mangione! The Joan Derryberry Art Gallery in the University Center at Tennessee Tech University is about to begin its Fall 2025 exhibition season. This fall there will be a great variety of art mediums displayed. The first exhibition, The SAC&D Faculty Show, will run from August 25 to September 25. October will feature paintings by Tatsuki Hakoyama and will run from September 26 through October 30. November will feature drawings by Mayuko Ono Gray and will wrap up programming for the fall semester.
