On Sunday, November 16, 3pm, the Bryan Symphony Orchestra continues their concert season performing the New World Symphony by Dvorak and featuring School of Music alum, Jeffery Whaley. Whaley, principal horn player of the Knoxville Symphony, will perform alongside TTU School of Music horn instructor, Dr. Justin Stanley, and students Walker Andrews and Jenna Saucier in Robert Schumann’s Concertpiece for 4 horns and orchestras. Center Stage present Jennifer Case, who will speak Tuesday October 14 at 7 p.m. in Stonecipher, Room 113.
In addition to her evening presentation, Case will provide a Craft Talk/Workshop that afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. in Henderson Hall 307A on writing creativity with research.
Case is an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas. She is the author of two books, Sawbill: A Search for Place, and We Are Animals: On the Nature and Politics of Motherhood, which was published by Trinity University Press in September 2024. Case will give an open public reading from We Are Animals:

Center Stage presents Patricio Cosentino, who will perform on Monday, October 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Wattenbarger Auditorium.
One of the few tuba players in the world to commit to a full-time solo career, Patricio Cosentino also stands out for his work as a chamber musician, conductor, and educator. His career reflects an unwavering commitment to the promotion and appreciation of Latin American music, as well as the expansion of the tuba repertoire on major stages in America, Europe, and Africa.

Dr. Joshua Hauser will present a faculty Trombone recital at 7:30pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025in Wattenbarger Auditorium.
This exciting and diverse program will include works composed as early as 1730 and as recently as the summer of 2025. Featuring music by Camille Saint-Saëns, Antonio Vivaldi, Dayla Spencer, Brian Sadler, and Astor Piazzolla, Hauser will be joined by Josh Davis, Piano; Jeff Womack, Bassoon; Scott Johnson, Trombone; Jack Seger, Bass Trombone; Preston Light, Tuba and Cimbasso; and Colin Hill, Drums.
Kids and their grownups are invited to learn the art of shibori and dyeing with indigo at this Saturday’s Family Craft Studio! Free and open to the public! Felt Mushrooms, Foresty Folk and more! Learn the basics of needle felting and let your imagination run free to create your own forest floor, complete with realistic mushrooms, Foresty Folk and several woodsy must-haves like ferns, bark, and moss. You will work with armature wire, different types of wool, and finishing and sculpting techniques you can use in other felting projects.
