    Join the Data Science League this Thursday April 7th at 11 am in Bruner Hall 327! DSL is welcoming Tennessee Tech alumni Max Rahmani as our next guest speaker. Max is a Data Scientist for Amyna Systems, a cybersecurity start-up. He will be discussing how he decided upon and pursued data science as a career path, his experience finding a data science position, and his current role and the tools he uses in his day-to-day work. Lunch will be served.

    Cards For a Cause

    Please Join Alpha Phi Omega in Making Cards for Local Nursing Home Residents Tomorrow, Thursday March 31 at 6:00 pm next to Einstein’s Bagels. This is a great opportunity to create something to raise the spirits of these residents who are sadly often forgotten.

    Alpha Phi Omega is Co-Ed Service Organization based on the Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. A few examples of what we do include: Blood Drives, Personal Care Product Drives, Relief Drives, Campus Cleanups, Nursing Home and Emergency Services Card Making, etc. We strive to embody the aforementioned Cardinal Principles in all that we do in order to help others, build lifelong friendships, and develop ourselves as professional individuals. If this sounds like something that you are interested in, please join us during  our event tomorrow night, or if you are unable to make it and would still like to learn more please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.     EWB & TTU Water Pros Hear from West TN River Basin Authority

    Engineers Without Borders and TTU Water Professionals will be hosting their next joint meeting of the semester this Thursday, March 31st during dead hour in Prescott Room 330. We are going to be hearing from David Blackwood. David is an engineer with West TN River Basin Authority and will be speaking about the August 2021 flood in Waverly, TN. We’re having pizza for lunch so be sure to come hungry!

    As always, all majors are welcomed and encouraged to join! We can’t wait to see everyone!!

    The English Club is having a meeting about Graduate School! We’re bringing in Dr. Paulina Bounds our Associate Professor of Linguistics and Graduate Studied Director to talk to students and answer questions about Graduate school and the masters program.   • Data Science League Hackathon this Weekend!

    The Data Science League is planning a hackathon for this weekend (3/25 – 3/27) to detect flooded cornfields from satellite imagery. No prior knowledge of machine learning, AI, or flood detection is necessary, just a willingness to learn and participate. We’ll have meals and snacks throughout the weekend event.     Join the Data Science League as we welcome Ryan Eberle from Chick-Fil-A on March 24th in Bruner Hall 327!

    Ryan Eberle is a Lead Analyst of Customer & Digital Insights at Chick-fil-A on the Customer & Market Insights Team. He will be sharing what data science looks like at Chick-fil-A, what tools and skillsets are used by analysts, and what types of analysis they are currently working on in support of growing Chick-fil-A sales and customer engagement.
