    APO Interest Sessions

    Alpha Phi Omega will be hosting two interest sessions tomorrow, Thursday, March 3, 2022.

    Session 1: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM LSC 1211 (Pictionary)

    Session 2: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM LSC 1211 (Trivia Night – Jackbox)

    Please join us for a day of fun! Food and refreshments will be provided at both events. Come show off your artistic abilities during dead hour, and then test your mental merit in an all out trivia battle during our evening event. I look forward to seeing you all there!

    Alpha Phi Omega is Co-Ed Service Organization based on the Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service. A few examples of what we do include: Blood Drives, Personal Care Product Drives, Relief Drives, Campus Cleanups, Nursing Home and Emergency Services Card Making, etc. We strive to embody the aforementioned Cardinal Principles in all that we do in order to help others, build lifelong friendships, and develop ourselves as professional individuals.     English Club Presents a Talk With Dr. Erin Hoover

    Hello all!
    This Thursday the English Club is hosting a talk with our new Professor Dr. Erin Hoover whom teaches the Creative Writing Poetry and Creative Writing Essay classes. She will give a presentation on poetry. This meeting is held in Henderson Hall 216A this Thursday March 3rd at 11:00 AM and open to all majors. Come on in, listen to what she has to say and help give her a warm welcome to Tennessee Tech.

  • Join DSL & Ratio Christi as we welcome Dr. Thacker to speak on the ethics of AI!

    Join us on March 3rd at 7 PM in Bruner Hall Auditorium (Room 119), refreshments will be provided!

    Movies about AI entertain us, even as AI is used in their production. From sci-fi thrillers to everyday life, AI is always there in background life – to Google search to Siri to Amazon Echo to medical diagnostics to e-commerce. And then, there are drones and self-driving cars, and the meta verse. In this talk, Jason Thacker will help us understand how digital technology shapes everything about our lives, including how we view God, ourselves, and the world around us.

    English Club’s Blind Date with a Book

    On February 15th from 11 to 12 in Henderson 216A, the English Club is having our Blind Date with a Book! What you do is you write up a dating profile for the book, leaving out the title, we look at each profile, choose which one we want, then when everyone has what they want, we swap books, and you go home with a new book!     The Save Us club will be set up in the Putnam County Animal Shelter education room Today! Thursday, the 10th from 11am to 12pm.
