Tennessee Tech University has a student group you might be interested in joining, the Nontraditional Student Organization (NTSO). Researchers generally consider nontraditional students to have the following characteristics: being independent for financial aid purposes, having one or more dependents, being a single caregiver, not having a traditional high school diploma, delaying postsecondary enrollment, attending school part time, and being employed full time (U.S. Dept. of Education, 2017).

If you’d like to join us, email the President of NTSO, Michele Niec, mlniec42@tntech.edu, so you can be included in future emails regarding meetings, meet-ups, and NTSO activities. The first in-person meeting will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11 a.m. in Henderson Hall Room 214. We will meet each month on the second Tuesday at the same time (11 a.m.) and the same place (HH 214).
