    Final Rotaract Meeting 12/1

    Hey guys! The Tennessee Tech Rotaract Club will be having its final meeting of the semester on December 1st in TJ Farr Room 203 during dead hour! We encourage anyone and everyone to come by and hang out with us as it will also just be a time to kick back and relax with us before Finals Week. We know everyone is not looking forward to them, so this will just be a way for you guys to come and not worry about them for a little while. We will have refreshments and food for you to enjoy at no cost to you as well, so please come on by if you want somewhere to not stress about your upcoming exams. Also if you are interested in the club itself, we will also gladly answer any questions you have about that. If you have any questions about the upcoming meeting or the club itself, feel free to contact the club President Grant Brady at ghbrady42@tntech.edu!       Hey guys! The Tennessee Tech Rotaract Club is having its next to last meeting of the semester on Thursday during dead hour. It will be held in its usual location, which is TJ Farr Room 203. We are encouraging everyone to come and hang out with us as we are preparing for an end to this semester. In this meeting, we will discuss Eagle Engage as well as a special opportunity we take part in almost every year we are able. We will have some kind of food available to you as well.     Join TN Tech’s ASME Student Section f or our final meeting of the fall semester on Thursday November 17 at 11:00 am in Brown Hall 315. This week, we are hosting Vincent Guilliams Jr., a two-time Tennessee Tech graduate and mechanical engineer from Oak Ridge National Laboratories who is working on the US ITER team, which is part of an international collaboration to create the world’s first functional nuclear fusion reactor! Come listen to his fascinating work and learn more about nuclear engineering and what it’s like to work at Oak Ridge.

    Non-Traditional Student Organization (NTSO) Meeting

    Join the Non-Traditional Student Organization on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, in Henderson 214.

    Everyone is welcome! Non-traditional students are defined as being independent for financial aid purposes, having one or more dependents, being a single caregiver, not having a traditional high school diploma, being over 25 years of age, delaying post-secondary enrollment, attending school part-time, and/or being employed full-time. We encourage faculty and staff who are also taking classes, and graduate students who are on campus.

    All meetings are 11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m. / Henderson Hall 214

    LAS Transition Informational Meeting – November 17th

    LAS, will be having an interest meeting for our transition to Sigma Alpha on November 17th in Oakley Hall in room 124 at 11 am. Finger foods and door prizes will be provided. Sigma Alpha is a professional agriculture sorority that focuses on furthering the development of excellence in women pursuing careers in agriculture. We hope in transitioning to Sigma Alpha our members will have new connections with women in agriculture at TN Tech and across the nation. The objective of Sigma Alpha is “to promote its members in all facets of agriculture and to strengthen the bonds of friendship among them”. If you are interested we would love to have you join us! Sigma Alpha is open to all majors who have an interest in or appreciation of agriculture.

    All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) will be hosting a t-shirt design contest for our club shirts. We will be accepting designs until November 12th where the winning design will be voted on at our annual Friendsgiving potluck so make sure to attend (check out our excel sheet below for Friendsgiving). All designs can be sent to alice.tntech@gmail.com. All ladies who are majoring in Civil Engineering or who would like to major in Civil Engineering are welcome to submit a design. The winning design will receive a prize.

    ALICE Annual Friendsgiving Potluck and food drive!

    All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) will be hosting our annual Friendsgiving on November 15th at 6pm in Prescott 215. All ladies who are majoring in Civil Engineering or who would like to major in Civil Engineering are welcome to attend. The ALICE annual Friendsgiving is a potluck where the turkey is provided and all you need to bring is yourself and a side (Excel sheet for potluck is featured below). This Friendsgiving, we are looking to give back by hosting a canned food drive to help support the TTU campus food pantry, so you are welcome to bring canned goods as well. ALICE is also hosting a t-shirt design contest, and voting will take place during the event.
