  • Button Making with TTU Rotaract

    The Tennessee Tech Rotaract Club is having a button making event this coming Thursday on February 16th! We would love for all our members and anybody interested to come by the Learning Resource Center in Bartoo Hall during dead hour on that day. If you have any questions about the event, please feel free to contact the Service Chair Natalee Sturgill at nasturgill42@tntech.edu! Again, it will be on February 16th during dead hour in the Learning Resource Center in Bartoo Hall. We may have some food to offer, but it is open to anyone! We hope to see you there!

    Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student Organization (MEGSO) is hosting a speaker event featuring Dr. Bruce Jo, faculty at the mechanical engineering department. Dr. Jo will be providing insights about his exciting research topics conducted at TTU such as human-robot interaction, designs for weapon systems, and inertia sensor applications. The event will be in Brown hall room 237 on Feb 16, 2023 from 11 am to 12 pm. There will be food and refreshments for everyone!

  • Eagle Works Elevator Pitches

    Eagle Works Elevator Pitches

    Do you get nervous when you have to make presentations? Are you never sure how to start? Do you just want to improve the skills you have? This workshop will help you prepare for the Idea Challenge on Feb. 15 (more details on the Eagle Works website!), and teach skills that will be useful in class and career! Being able to give a short elevator pitch about yourself or your idea could make a difference in your future! We will also allow time for working on your pitch and getting assistance from Eagle Works staff.

    This workshop will be on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 5 p.m. in the iMakerspace. The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange.

    We’ll follow this session up with a practice pitch session for the Idea Challenge on Monday, Feb. 13 at 5 p.m. in the iMakerspace. If you plan on competing, we highly suggest you attend if possible!
