    Calling All Ladies in Civil Engineering! Annual group hike to Bee Rock!

    All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) will be hosting a group hike on October 15th where we will meet at 9:30 in the gravel parking lot across from Sherlock Park. We will carpool from there to Bee Rock. After hiking, a lunch will follow. All ladies who are majoring in Civil Engineering or who would like to major in Civil Engineering are welcome to attend. No hiking experience needed, just a good way to get outside and make friends outside of a school setting!

    TN Tech ASME Student Chapter Meeting

    Join TN Tech’s ASME Student Section at our next meeting on Thursday, October 6 at 11:00 am in Brown Hall 315. This week, we will host members of the mechanical engineering department faculty to talk about undergraduate research opportunities! This is a unique opportunity to hear about multiple areas of research available to undergrads and learn how you can get involved while still pursuing an bachelor’s degree. Attendance is open to anyone, but if you are a mechanical engineering major, you don’t want to miss this opportunity, no matter your grade.

  • The Media Club is Meeting!

    The first official meeting of the Tennessee Tech Media club is happening on Wednesday, October 5th in the Library room 110 at 7PM. Here we will get to know each other and discuss future club events and meeting schedule. No tricks, only treats as candy will be provided!     Rotaract Meeting on Thursday 10/6

    Hey guys! The Tennessee Tech Rotaract Club is having a meeting on Thursday during dead hour in TJ Farr Room 203. We encourage everyone to come see us, as we are hoping to rebuild the club, as well as welcome some new faces to the school. So if you would like to improve your leadership skills, make some friends, or just come hang out for an hour, you are encouraged to come by!     The TTU Creative Writing Club meets the first Tuesday of each month in room 216A of Henderson Hall at 11 a.m. All majors are welcome. Our club encourages writers of fiction, poetry, and essays.     Calling All Ladies in Civil Engineering who are interested in Structures!

    All Ladies in Civil Engineering (ALICE) will host Katie Lewis and Nitaya Chayangkura, structural speakers from Benesch on October 4th from 6pm to 8pm in PRSC 215. All ladies who are majoring in Civil Engineering or who would like to major in Civil Engineering are welcome to attend.

    Benesch has been practicing for over 75 years and specializes in bridges, aviation, civil cite development, and railroads. Katie and Nitaya have over 20 years of experience combined and both of a passion for helping communities through designing bridges and other structural components.

    ASME Student Section Meeting – September 22

    Join TN Tech’s ASME Student Section as we host an internship/Co-Op/research show-and-tell session during our next meeting on September 22! We will open the floor to anyone who has completed an internship or Co-Op, been involved in undergraduate research, or worked on campus to share about their experiences in a friendly, low-pressure environment. This will be a wonderful opportunity to highlight the value of these experiences and give you a chance to ask questions if you are interested in pursuing one yourself.

    Our meeting will be at 11:00 am (dead hour) in Brown 315 and is open to any engineering-related major. If you have had an internship, Co-Op, or research experience, or are even remotely interested in pursuing one of these positions, we highly encourage you to attend. Bring a friend or three. (There will also be free pizza!)

    We welcome students to join us on WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 21 at 12:00 AM in LSC 1211 for a MEET & GREET and INFORMATIONAL MEETING We will also be discussing the upcoming BLOOD DRIVE that we have planned for TODAY in front of the library, and we are looking for volunteers to assist with promotion of this. We have a lot of exciting opportunities planned for this year and we look forward to having students join our organization.
