    Nominations are now open for the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) Faculty Excellence Awards. These two awards, Faculty Excellence in Course Design and Faculty Excellence in Online Teaching, are designed to recognize faculty members who have demonstrated exemplary course design in any modality or specifically created innovative online learning environments. Nominations for both awards close on Friday, March 11th. You can nominate using the form below.   • Tornado Drill Scheduled Feb. 21, 2021

    Tennessee Tech University will conduct a tornado drill Monday February 21, 2022 at 3 p.m. barring inclement weather. The drill is an important exercise that allows the TN Tech community to test its readiness in the case of emergency conditions.

    Once the tornado “warning” message is received, ALL members of the campus community should quickly and safely evacuate to the designated areas within each respective building and wait for the “All Clear” to be issued. Once the all clear has been declared you may resume normal operations.

    Although this is a drill, participation is a must! Building Coordinators will be evaluating and reporting student, faculty and staff response.

    TN Tech Counseling Center: Questions Persuade Refer

    Aiming to provide effective skills to educate students/ faculty on suicide prevention, the Counseling Center will be hosting the Question, Persuade, & Refer event! The training will take place on February 17th and March 24th in the Tech pride room, as well as on April 14th in the Multi-purpose room (located in the Roaden University Center). The event will begin at 11:00 am in February and March, and 3:00 pm for the April training. If you have any questions, contact the counseling center at 931-372-3331 or counsel@tntech.edu.

    The Harold Love Outstanding Community Service Award – Nominations

    Now accepting recommendations for the THEC Harold Love Outstanding Community Service Award.  The President’s Office would like to nominate up to two faculty/staff members and up to two students for consideration of this state-wide award for community service.

    Historically, TN Tech has been well represented as recipients of this award, within both categories, faculty/staff and students.  Your recommendations will be evaluated by a committee on campus. The final nominees will be informed of their submission.

  • Annual Title VI Training

    All Tennessee Tech employees must complete annual Title VI training by March 18, 2022. This training can be accessed in Tech Express by locating the red tab for Title VI training on the Campus Resources Card.

    Completion of this training is a component of employee performance evaluations. In addition, failure to complete the training by March 18, 2022, will result in the termination of access to Tennessee Tech computer resources.

    Distinguished Service Learning Award Nominations/Submissions

    Nominations are now open for the Distinguished Service Learning Award.

    Do you know a student-centered educator who demonstrates exceptional service learning initiatives through the university?  Does the teacher inspire students to get involved and make a difference?  Nominate them for the Distinguished Service Learning Award!

    Do you know a student who has demonstrated exceptional service learning initiatives through the university, a student who has made a positive impact for those around them?  Nominate them for the Distinguished Service Learning Award!

    One service learning faculty member and one service learning student each year are recognized.
