    Join the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence on Wednesday, March 23rd at 3 PM in the Volpe Library Room 117 for our next CAFÉ Conversations session in the Diversity & Inclusion Series and meet the Director of the Women’s Center, Dr. Helen Hunt, for Golden Eagles Take CARE Training.  Come learn about four basic principles of bystander intervention to help make a safe and inclusive environment.     The College of Interdisciplinary Studies is proud to announce the opening of one of three planned Lactation Areas on Campus.  The purpose of these spaces is to provided lactating/breast-feeding mothers a comfortable and private spot as needed.  If you’d like to book a time, please contact Dylcia Cowan at 931-372-3366, or email her at dcowan@tntech.edu.  If you prefer, you can drop by Southwest Hall, Rm 141A.  Hours of operation are 8 am – 4:30 pm.

  • ARE YOU AWAKE? A Human Trafficking and Drug Endangered Child Conference

    Tech ASPIRES, Power of Putnam, Willow Bend Farms, and other area agencies are co-sponsoring, ARE YOU AWAKE? A Human Trafficking and Drug Endangered Child Conference. The conference will be at The River Church in Cookeville on May 5th and 6th from 8am-5pm. Participants will receive advanced training on signs of Human Trafficking, develop trauma informed and strength-based responses and more.     Eagle Works registration is now open! Join students from programs across campus to compete for awards totaling over $10,000. Eagle Works is a Shark Tank-style competition focusing on innovation & entrepreneurship, problem-solving, creative thinking, and teamwork!

    The competition is open to all Tech students from all programs of study.

    March Water Week Creative Writing Contest!

    CALLING ALL WRITERS!

    The Office of Sustainability is hosting our second annual Creative Writing Contest for this year’s Water Week (March 21-25)! We are open to all forms of creative writing, such as short stories, plays, poems, comics, etc. The only criteria is that your work must be centered on the theme of WATER and be no longer than 1,000 words!

    Submissions opened March 7th and will close on March 25th! We cannot wait to see what you come up with!

    Oh, and the winner will receive a sustainability gift bag and be featured on our website and social media!!

    This semester, the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) will be conducting Small Group Instructional Diagnostics (SGID) from March 21-28th. A facilitator from the CITL will guide your students through a series of questions about your course which will be used to provide helpful feedback to improve your course prior to the end of the semester.
