The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships is collecting nominations for MVP Student Worker. You know better than anyone the efforts our students go to make Tennessee Tech a one-of-a-kind university that is full of ambition, heart, and purpose. The 2025 Derryberry Award nomination deadline is Friday, March 14. This award was established in honor of the late Everett Derryberry after 34 years as president of Tennessee Tech. This prestigious honor grants a plaque and cash award to a graduating senior who demonstrates a high level of scholastic achievement and successful campus involvement in leadership and enrichment opportunities. Student Affairs Student Spotlight – Madison Kibbe
Meet Madison, our March Student Affairs Student Spotlight! Originally from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Madison is a senior at Tennessee Tech University majoring in Environmental & Sustainability Studies. She has dedicated herself to service, from building homes in Sneedville, TN, to distributing medication in El Magueyal, El Salvador. Madison is actively involved in the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Servants of Christ (SOC), supporting women in STEM and engaging in faith-based community service. Her volunteer efforts extend beyond campus, including disaster relief, preparing meals for veterans and widows, and working with nonprofits supporting vulnerable communities.

Wondering What To Do With Your Prom Dress? Consider Donating It!
The SOLO Events Committee is seeking donations of gently used formalwear (i.e. suiting and gowns) for their Spring Masquerade Ball. Kenneth Clack, President of the SOLO Events Committee, describes the gala as “allowing students from all backgrounds to enjoy a night of celebration – boosting confidence and creating a sense of belonging.”
