    Student Affairs Student Spotlight – Samuel Asare-Duah

    Meet Samuel Asare-Duah, our December Student Affairs Student Spotlight! Originally from Ghana, Samuel earned his undergraduate degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is now a second-year master’s student in Civil Engineering at Tech, graduating this fall. Samuel served as the Publicity and Social Media Manager for the African Student Union, where he was recognized as the “Most Hardworking Officer” for his dedication. After graduation, he will begin his career as a Highway Engineer with Jacobs in Atlanta, Georgia. Congrats, Samuel!

    From November 19th to 21st, students can donate unused guest meals to the campus food pantry through our Swipe Out Hunger initiative. It’s an easy way to support those in need while also reducing food waste. Every meal donated makes a difference for someone facing food insecurity. Consider donating your extra meals during this time!

This event, hosted by the City of Cookeville, in celebration of the Nationwide GIS Day will feature projects from Tennessee Tech University students and faculty, as well as other agencies across the City of Cookeville. This is a great event to discover more about how GIS is used throughout our community as well as real-world examples of mapping and spatial analysis!
