    The Eagle Works team congratulates the winners of the Idea Challenge on Feb. 13. This competition allows students to pitch a solution to a problem, helping them prepare for the Eagle Works competition on Apr. 12.

    Engineering Quad Parking Lot – Traffic Pattern Modification

    Due to several concerns being brought to Facilities attention by faculty and staff, on Monday, February 24th,  the traffic pattern at the engineering quad parking lot will be modified.  The area area currently allows for 2-way traffic at both entrances, but this will be changed to a one-way traffic pattern, with the East end being the entrance, and the West end being the exit.  Additionally, 4 “Facilities” parking spots will be added to further reduce congestion at the entrance and exit.

    Faculty are invited to apply for the CITL TechTrendsetters Grant, which supports integrating emerging technologies and digital literacy into curricula. Grantees complete the OLC Online Teaching Certification, work with an Instructional Designer, and receive salary support and tech funding. Details on the 2025 cycle, budget templates, and more are on the CITL website. Apply by March 7 and don’t miss our Trendsetter Tuesdays highlighting 2024 grantees.

    Adult Swim Clinic

    The Exercise Science Department is offering a free 5-week Adult Swim Clinic for faculty, staff, graduate assistants, and community members on Monday evenings at the Memorial Gym Pool starting on February 10. If you are serious swimmer that wants to become a graceful swimmer or a beginner that is just learning to swim, I encourage you to sign up for the upcoming 5-week clinic. There will be three clinics offered including:

    Intermediate/ Advance Swimmers: Mondays from 5- 6 pm.

    Novice/ Beginner Swimmers (comfortable in deep water): Mondays from 6- 7 pm.

    Phobic Swimmers (not comfortable in deep water): Mondays from 7- 8 pm.
