    PEK Lift-A-Thon

    All students are welcome! There will be three weight classes for men and women. Scan the QR code to register today! $20 if you register before November 16th, $30 if you register the day of the event. It will be hosted in the Academic Wellness Center (AWC-the old fitness center) THIS Saturday with check-ins fro 8-8:30 AM! We can’t wait to see you there!

    Raising Canes Spirit Night Fundraiser- Nov 12

    The Student Members of the American Chemical Society will be hosting a spirit night fundraiser at Raising Cane’s (1100 Interstate Drive) on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 4-9 p.m. A portion of the sales will be donated to the chapter if you mention SMACS (or ACS) when ordering.   • Seeking Donations for Cherokee Reservation Food Pantry

    The Living Waters food pantry, which serves the Cherokee reservation in NC, is in sore straits as their Asheville warehouse was destroyed in the hurricane. The pantry has been a partner with TTU’s NSF grant program, Engendering the Spirit of Gadugi at the Food/Energy/Water Nexus. Dr. Troy Smith, Dr. Sabrina Buer, and student volunteers collected donations and delivered them to Cherokee two weeks ago. The history department office is currently accepting donations of food, cash, hygiene and cleaning products, and water for one more supply run on November 8. Please drop donations by 118 Henderson Hall- thank you. Contact Dr. Smith for details at tdsmith@tntech.edu.

    HISTORY CLUB BOOK SALE IN THE CENTENNIAL PLAZA TODAY & TOMORROW

    Don’t miss the best deal on campus!  The History Club is hosting their annual book sale today and tomorrow (Oct 22-23) from 9am-4pm in Centennial Plaza.  Paperbacks are $1 and hardbacks are $3.  We also have tote bags, buttons, and stickers this year to add to the sale!  Grab something on your way to class, support your campus clubs, and come out to meet us!

    HEALTH (S)CARES Mental Health Awareness Fundraiser

    Please join us for a mental health awareness event to fundraise for the Remote Area Medical Clinic. The clinic has provided free healthcare services to those in need through the operation of pop-up clinics around the country.

    Our event will take place in the Plaza on Oct 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during dead hour. There will be games, treats, and Halloween themed activities! Forget the tricks, give your mind a treat!

    The Food Nutrition and Dietetics club is partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank to host a food drive! For every donation, you will be entered into a giveaway for a $50 gift card.
