  • How to give an effective presentation

    Being able to give an effective presentation and gaining confidence at public speaking are skills that will carry over into classes and career. Come to this Eagle Works workshop to learn best practices for pitches and presentations, and also find out what NOT to do! This session will help prepare you for the Eagle Works pitches and will be useful no matter what you do in the future.

    This workshop will be Wednesday, March 6, at 5 p.m. in the iMakerspace.

    The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange.

    Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the National Leadership Honor Society, is hosting an interactive panel discussion, “Translating Your Passion into Leadership Experience,” on Thursday, March 7, from 5-6 PM in the RUC, room 246. The discussion will focus on ODK’s five pillars of leadership, and our panelists will serve as an exemplars of each pillar. Each panelist will share an “action item” or opportunity attendees can take advantage of to further their leadership experience on campus or in the community.
