  • Tech Players 24-Hour Play Festival

    Join the Tech Players in participating in or watching our 24 Hour Play Festival! Groups will work to write, memorize, stage, and perform short plays over a 24 hour period. The fun begins this Friday April 19th at 6 p.m. with performances on Saturday April 20th at 8 p.m. All are welcome to watch the show for free! If you are interested in participating with a group of 2-5 members, see the attached form to sign-up and get more information. Make sure your group is registered before our Friday night meeting!     Gold Career Readiness Workshop on April 18!

    Do you still need to attend one more workshop to complete your Gold Career Readiness Application? Join the Center for Career Development on Thursday, April 18, beginning at 11 a.m. in Roaden University Center Tech Pride Room for our final Gold Career Readiness Workshop of the semester!

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card with you for attendance credit.

    3rd Annual Light the Night

    Please consider joining Phi Epsilon Kappa on the Quad as we “Light the Night” on Tuesday, April 23 from 7:30-9:00 pm. “Light the Night” is a glow walk intended to raise awareness for organ donation and transplants. We will have free t-shirts, glow sticks, and glow paint for students (while supplies last) as well as a dunk tank and recreational games on the quad as we celebrate and recognize National Donate Life Month.

    You’re invited to attend an informational session with representatives from Chemours on Tuesday, April 16 at 11 a.m. in LSC 1211 to learn about co-op opportunities at their New Johnsonville, TN location for chemistry and chemical engineering students starting in Fall 2024. Representatives include a chemist and two engineers, and they will provide information on the positions that are open and answer questions. Pizza will be provided.     “I am not alone” – A Mad Topics symposium attendee regarding the event on Monday (4/8). Over 100 students, educators, licensed professionals, and community members attended to learn about OCD and ADHD in education (more watched the live stream!). You can watch and/or share the recording using this link. Hear Dr. Simone speak more about the panel and OCD/ADHD on Good Morning Cookeville with Sheila and Jason on 107.7 here. Dr. Culkin’s book, OCD and Marriage, can still be purchased through Dr. Simone ($20 each, or $15 for students), and those who purchase a book will also get a free Mad Topics t-shirt while supplies last (email ksimone@tntech.edu).
