  • Judges are Needed for the 19th Annual Student Research and Creative Inquiry Day

    We have well over 200 abstracts submitted for this year’s Student Research and Creative Inquiry Day and need faculty volunteers to evaluate the students’ work.  Judging takes place April 17 from 4:00-6:00 pm in Memorial Gym on the Main Quad.  Students are not required to be present during the evaluation, though they’re most certainly welcomed.  Hors d’oeuvres will be served and you’ll receive a gift of appreciation for your efforts.  Please register here.   Questions?  Please email researchday@tntech.edu

    Free Eclipse Glasses Distribution at the Oakley STEM Center for Tennessee Tech

    We are excited to announce an opportunity for Tennessee Tech faculty and staff to obtain free eclipse glasses in preparation for the upcoming April 8, 2024, eclipse. This event promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime celestial spectacle, and we don’t want anyone to miss out on the chance to safely witness it.

    Free eclipse glasses are available exclusively for Tennessee Tech students, faculty, and staff.
    Location:  Oakley STEM Center, RMH 101
    Distribution Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    Glasses are limited to 5 per person and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
    To secure your eclipse glasses, simply visit the STEM Center front desk during the designated distribution hours. Please note that glasses are available while supplies last, so we encourage you to pick them up at your earliest convenience.
