    Do you find writing intimidating or struggle to find your own voice? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, is here to help! On Tuesday, 3/4, we will lead a dead hour workshop on Thinking About Writing. We can talk about how to claim your own voice as a writer and how to demystify writing itself. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration required, and all are welcome.  If you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session.     Creative Inquiry Summer Experience (CISE) grant applications are now being accepted. Grants are for a maximum of $4,000 with up to $3,500 as a paid stipend.     The Elinor Ross CDF Freedom School, a program of Tech’s College of Education & Human Sciences, is accepting applications for paid summer internships from students of all majors. The ERFS is a six-week literacy and cultural enrichment experience for Putnam Co. kids, grades 1-5. From the arts, sciences, reading/literature, to field trips, and so much more – have an impactful summer and get paid for it!

    Biology Department Professor Dr. Brad Cook chosen for Lifetime Achievement Award

    The Department of Biology recognizes Dr. Brad Cook, recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Tennessee Chapter of the American Fisheries Society for his significant contributions to fisheries science and management in Tennessee. Dr. Cook has taught fisheries science at TTU for over two decades.
