    The Tennessee Tech Aviation Society is holding an information meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sep. 2 in Ray Morris Hall 150 for new and returning members. We are a club for anyone with interest in flight or the aviation or aerospace industries and are open to all majors and concentrations as well as all levels of learning. We would love to see you there!

    Free Pops Concert in Dogwood Park

    Sunday evening September 5, at 7:00pm, the Bryan Symphony Orchestra at Tennessee Tech will perform a free concert at the Dogwood Park Pavilion in Cookeville. In addition to traditional light classics and patriotic fare the orchestra will perform a tribute to the late Eddie Van Halen and a medley by Journey!  Join us for great music performed by Tech students, faculty, alums, and area professionals in the beautiful outdoors. The Bryan Symphony Orchestra appreciates you efforts to keep other concert-goers safe by wearing a mask while seated near other patrons.

    The Bryan Symphony Orchestra is a collaborative effort between the School of Music at Tennessee Tech and the Bryan Symphony Orchestra Association which raises over $200,000 annually in support of concerts given by the orchestra consisting of Tech faculty, students, and other area professionals.     Are you interested in becoming a physician, dentist, dental hygienist, physician assistant, optometrist, or one of many other medical professionals? Come join us for the first Chem Med Club Meeting on September 7 at 11 AM in SLH 126! Throughout the semester, several different speakers will tell us about their career choices or about how we can get more involved in the medical community.   • WEST Open for the Fall

    The Writing Excellence Studio at Tech (WEST) is open for the semester! We provide one-on-one writing consultation for upper-level undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty, regardless of what field or writing you’re working on. We can work with you on things like clarity, cohesion, logical progression, or just making sure you’re doing what the assignment asks you to do in the most effective way possible. And we’re happy to work with you at any stage of the writing process. Regardless of your skill level, we’re here to help you feel more confident in your writing abilities. We have in-person hours in Henderson Hall 204B, or online appointments available.     If you are planning to graduate in spring 2022, you will need to complete the graduation application ASAP.  The deadline date has been extended to September 8th, 2021. If you are an August graduate, I encourage you to go ahead and apply now for summer 2022.
