    Are you interested in Co-op? Need to find out how YOU can be Co-op eligible? Attend this Co-op Meetup on Thursday, Feb. 10, in Clement Hall 212 at 11 a.m. Any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup.

    The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which went into effect July 1, 2019 for all students.  Pre-registration to enroll in the Co-op Program is now required and attending a Co-op Meetup is your first step!  The new eligibility guidelines can be found at: https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/coop-eligibility.php.

    Friday Focus: Small Group Instructional Diagnostic

    Join the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence for our next Friday Focus session on Small Group Instructional Diagnostics. Friday Focus sessions are designed to provide just-in-time resources and information for faculty throughout the semester. Each session focuses on a different resource, tool, or program available to faculty. During this session, Dr. Jason Beach, Director of the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL), and Dr. Allen Mathende will share information on the CITL’s Small Group Instructional Diagnostic (SGID) evaluation services. They will discuss the format, process, and benefits of a mid-semester evaluation, and answer any questions you may have. Join us on Friday, February 11th at 11 AM  via Microsoft Teams.   • HR Staffing Update

    The office of Human Resources would like to make the campus community aware of some personnel changes.  Sindi Christopher, Benefits Specialist, has accepted a position outside of the University.  We are pleased to announce that Apolonia “Apple” Garcia will be the new Benefits Specialist effective immediately.  Apple started in HR as an Administrative Associate 5 in July of 2021 and has over eleven years of HR experience that includes benefits, talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and special projects.  Ms. Garcia currently holds an A.A.S in Contemporary Management, and she is working towards her B. S. Degree at TTU, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Management and a minor in Spanish.

    Teamwork makes the dream work! Get tips for effective communication Wed. night!

    Have you ever had to do a group project with people who just don’t seem to understand you? Or struggled to make yourself and your opinions heard? Do you want to learn a skill that will make working on a team easier? Then the Effective Communication workshop is for you!

    This session will help you with group projects, networking events, and help prepare for this year’s Eagle Works competition. Learn the different types of communication styles and how to work effectively as a team.

    The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange. A virtual option will be available on the Eagle Works homepage Wednesday morning.

    All week February 7th through 11th, Tau Beta Pi is selling Valentine’s Day candy to do something sweet for a local charity!     General Complaint Reporting

    In addition to the Fraud, Waste, or Abuse reporting form, Tennessee Tech also has a form on Internal Audit’s website for confidentially reporting complaints about accounting, internal control, auditing matters, code of conduct, and other related issues that are NOT fraud, waste, or abuse. Complainants remain COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS to Internal Audit unless the last section of the form is completed. General complaints received on this form are routed to appropriate campus departments for follow-up.

    The form can be submitted online or completed, printed, and mailed to Internal Audit, PO Box 5154, Cookeville, TN 38505.
