    Nominate a Faculty Member for Scholar-Mentor Award 2025-2026

    The University established the Scholar-Mentor Award to honor TTU’s long history of close relationships between faculty and their students. The award honors a faculty member who displays outstanding mentorship, integrating scholarship, research, and teaching excellence. The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2025-26 Scholar Mentor Award is Friday, November 21, 2025.     Laura Evans to Speak About Art Crime 10/29

    Dr. Laura Evans will speak on Wednesday, October 29 at 5 p.m. in Stonecipher, Room 126.

    Evans is an associate professor of Art Education and director of the Museum Education Program at the University of North Texas. Her talk will focus on her recent book, The Atlas of Art Crime: Thefts, Vandalism, and Forgeries, exploring cases of art theft, vandalism, and forgery. This engaging presentation will highlight the connections between art, crime, and cultural preservation, appealing to those interested in the arts, humanities, and true crime. She will be available for a book-signing following the event.
