    Reminder See Something, Say Something Conference on March 5

    This Whitson-Hester School of Nursing is hosting a conference that will educate attendees on identifying and addressing high risk and disturbing behaviors in the workplace. Attendees will learn to identify individuals at risk for violent outbursts that could lead to individual harm to self or others, as well as learn to demonstrate techniques to more safely address volatile situations.

    The conference will take place on March 5 from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. in the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing Auditorium (Bell Hall 282). The cost is $50 person, which includes 2.0 CEUs, food, and refreshments. To register please click on the link below.

  • Free Narcan Training Hosted in Bell Hall

    Free Narcan Training Hosted in Bell Hall

    All students and faculty are invited and encouraged to attend this training to administer a life saving opioid reversal drug! No prior training is required just a willingness to make a difference. The event will be held at 6:30pm in the Multipurpose room of Bell Hall on March the 10th.

  • Spring 2020 Question Persuade Refer Training

    QPR training is a suicide prevention training facilitated by certified gatekeeper instructors designed for provide guidance for suicide prevention. Spring semester training dates are March 5, 2020 @ 11am in Tech Pride Room and April 23, 2020 @ 11am in the Tech Pride Room.   • Human Resources Effectiveness Survey, March 4th – March 11th

    Human Resources needs your help.  We are requesting your participation in a brief survey!  We want to hear from YOU!!

    As you may recall, approximately a year ago, we underwent structural changes and each department was then assigned to an individual HR Generalist. The Associate VP of HR would love to receive feedback about your experiences with these changes. Your responses to this survey will help us evaluate the effectiveness of our HR Generalists so that we can design and simplify our services to better serve you, our employees. Your participation in the survey is completely voluntary and all of your responses will be kept confidential.  The survey is very brief and will only take about 10 minutes to complete.     All students planning to participate in Research and Creative Inquiry Day must complete an online abstract submission form by 11:59 p.m., Wed., March 11, 2020. After that time, no additional abstracts will be accepted. A confirmation email will be sent to the primary author upon abstract submission. If that email is not received, the abstract has not been successfully submitted. If this occurs, the student should resubmit or contact the Office of Research before the abstract submission deadline.

    Engineering Fair is this Thursday, Mar. 5 at the HOOP

    Join the Center for Career Development on Thursday, Mar. 5, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Hooper Eblen Center for the Engineering Career Fair. Over 160 employers will be in attendance seeking students from all majors for co-op, internship, and full-time opportunities! All majors are invited to participate and discuss your career interests with employers.

    If you have not downloaded the Career Fair Plus app for your phone, now is the time to do this!  You can see all employers, filter based on the type position you are seeking PLUS see exactly where they are located on the fair map!

    Students should come dressed to impress, bring plenty of resumes, and have their Eagle Card on hand to obtain a personalized name tag. This event counts toward Career Readiness Certification.

    Career Fairs are a NO BACKPACK Zone. Please leave your backpack in your car or room.
