Tech NSF NRT Program Accepting Applications for $34k Annual Graduate Fellowship
The Tennessee Tech NSF NRT Engendering the Spirit of Gadugi at the Food-Energy-Water Nexus program is now accepting fellowship applications for the Fall 2023 semester. Students entering this program have an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge research revolving around food, energy, and water challenges in local, rural, Appalachian and indigenous communities. This program offers extensive training on collaborative and community-centered methods to approach problem identification and critical thinking when partnering with these groups.
We are currently accepting both master’s and PhD students for the Fall 2023 semester from a variety of STEM disciplines including, but not limited to, biology, chemistry, engineering and the environmental sciences. Fellowships include all tuition, fees, and a $34,000 annual stipend. Fellowship applications are due no later than June 1, 2023. For graduate students interested in taking NSF NRT courses to enhance their degree program, there are several opportunities to explore as well.

SOLO Presents: Kofi Mawuko with Ghanaian Drum & Dance Ensemble Sat March 25 6PM
Ghanaian master drummer Kofi Mawuko and dancers join the Tennessee Tech Ghanaian Drum Ensemble for an hour of traditional music, drum, and dance from Ghana, West Africa. The performance is Saturday, March 25, at 6 p.m., in Derryberry Auditorium.

Co-op Meetup #3 on Tuesday, March 28, at 11 a.m. in the RUC Multipurpose Room
Did you interview for or accept a Co-op position at the Engineering Fair? Need to find out if you are on-track to be Co-op Eligible? Attend the Co-op Meetup on Tuesday, March 28, in Roaden University Center Multipurpose Room beginning at 11 a.m. New guidelines, which went into effect Fall 2022 for engineering student enrollment, will be shared.
The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, which applies to ALL students. You may review the updated eligibility guidelines at: https://www.tntech.edu/career/students/co-op/eligibility.php

WEST Workshop: Annotated Bibliographies
Does your research project require an Annotated Bibliography? Are you struggling to figure out what to include, how much information to convey, and how to structure it? WEST, the Writing Excellence Studio at Tech, has got you covered! On Thursday, 3/30, we will be leading a dead hour workshop on writing annotated bibliographies. We can talk about the genre as a whole, and discuss specific concerns you might have for your class or instructor. The workshop will be in Henderson Hall 304B, from 11:00-11:50. No registration is required, and all are welcome. And if you can’t make the workshop, come for a one-on-one session with one of our consultants. The Nashville Area Career Fair is Tuesday, April 4
Join Tennessee Tech’s Center for Career Development and other Middle Tennessee universities on April 4, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., for the Nashville Area College to Career Fair (NACF) held at the Nashville Fair Grounds. The NACF is a collaborative effort of several Middle Tennessee universities, which allows their students to network with employers from the Nashville area. This is an off-campus fair.
