Mask Enforcement in the Volpe Library
New Year = New Semester. New Semester = New Enforcement. Masks will be required in all areas of the Volpe Library and are required to be worn at all times. Masks should cover both nose and mouth and should be in place between drinks and bites of food. Those who do not wear a mask will be asked to leave the building. Please be considerate of the health of your fellow students, their families, and our health care workers.

Extended office hours
The offices of Financial aid/Scholarship, Registrar’s, Veteran Affairs, Launchpad, and Admissions will remain open from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 14), Friday (Jan. 15), and Tuesday (Jan. 19) to best assist students with the start of the Spring semester. The Brothers of the Omicron Phi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. wanted to inform you of our annual MLK Silent March that will take place on January 19th, 2021. The starting location is the President’s Lawn across the BFA and ends at the steps of Derryberry Hall and one of our brothers will give a speech to conclude the march.

Tech women’s game vs. Belmont postponed, men move up to 6 p.m. Thursday
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech calendar for Thursday will shift as the Golden Eagle women’s game against Belmont has been postponed as the Bruins continue to go through COVID protocol.
As a result, the Tech men’s game will move up from an originally-scheduled 8 p.m. scheduled tipoff to 6 p.m.
The makeup date between the Tech women and Belmont at the Eblen Center is still to be determined.
“As we have done all season so far, we will make the most of opportunity to make sure our student-athletes get a chance to represent Tech and play the sport they love,” said Tech director of athletics Mark Wilson. “At the same time, all of us must also take the necessary precautions to protect our student-athletes, staffs and fans.”
Updates will follow on TTUsports.com and the Tech Athletics social media accounts when a makeup date is announced.

Become a STAR Caller!
The Tennessee Tech Admissions Office is looking for some awesome current students to be our STAR callers this semester! You’ll mostly be calling newly admitted students and students who haven’t completed their application, meaning you’re just a happy and excited voice to congratulate them and share your experiences at Tech.
We work Mon-Fri afternoons, the exact time each day will be decided after we have more STARs. It is a paid position where you can work up to 10 hrs per week.

January 15 Deadline for NIFA
Submissions for non-instructional faculty assignments due to department chairs on January 15
Proposals from faculty seeking non-instructional faculty assignments for the 2020-2021 academic year are due to department chairs on Jan. 15, 2021. The purpose of the non-instructional assignments are: to contribute to the professional growth of the faculty; to improve the teaching and the curriculum across the University; and/or to enhance the scholarship and academic excellence of the University in ways that cannot be accomplished under the constraints of the regular workload assignments. Proposals due to Academic Affairs will be due on Jan. 29, 2021. On Feb. 24, 2021 the winners will be announced.
