Non-instructional faculty assignments due to department chairs by January 15
The proposals for the 2020-2021 academic year from faculty seeking non-instructional faculty assignments (NIFA) are due to department chairs on Jan. 15, 2021. The purpose of the non-instructional assignments are: to contribute to the professional growth of the faculty; to improve the teaching and the curriculum across the University; and/or to enhance the scholarship and academic excellence of the University in ways that cannot be accomplished under the constraints of the regular workload assignments. Proposals due to Academic Affairs will be due on Jan. 29, 2021. On Feb. 24, 2021 the winners will be announced. Notice of Police Department Critical Incident Training on Saturday, January 9
University Police will be conducting critical incident training at Johnson Hall and the Volpe Library on Saturday, January 9, from approximately 0800 to 1200. These two buildings will remain closed to everyone except police personnel for safety reasons. Peachtree Avenue will be barricaded off from B Street south to University and will not be accessible to non-emergency vehicles during the training. University Police would like the campus community to know that this is scheduled training and not an actual critical incident. Questions can be directed to police dispatch at 372-3234.

The deadline to apply for undergraduate graduation for Summer 2021 is January 1, 2021. Apply online using your Eagle Online account – you must have earned 80 credit hours. Weather Alert System Test
There will be a test of the Weather Alert System across campus on Wednesday, 23 December between 11:00am-12:00 The test will trigger respective strobe and audible alarms in facilities across the campus for a short duration in order to ensure systems are active by the National Weather Service’s Weather Alert System. This is only a test and we thank you for your patience and understanding. Building Coordinators should notify the Facilities and Business Services Help Desk at x3975 if your audible/strobe alarms do not active so a work order can be initiated to fix your alarm.
