Recently, our close-knit community has suffered heartbreaking losses. Although our campus was physically spared, the emotional strain on our employees and students has taken its toll. In efforts to help all those who have been affected by the storm or its aftermath, click the following link for resources on how to help deal with grief and loss during this time of adjustment. https://www.tntech.edu/hr/training/cris_response.php
As President Oldham recently put it in his blog post, “They will talk of the damage and devastation, but will mostly tell of the incredible heart and spirit of this community—Tennessee’s College Town!” #WingsUp #CookevilleStrong

“I Heart Tech Students” Campaign Supports Students Affected by Mar. 3 Tornadoes
On Mar. 10, Tennessee Tech kicked off the “I Heart Tech Students” fundraising campaign to raise money for programs that assist students during challenging times. This has never been more evident than right now. The Mar. 3 tornadoes affected many members of the Tennessee Tech family. The campaign will focus on raising funds for the Eagle Assistance Grant, Counseling Center, Accessible Education Center, Food Pantry, and Veterans Center. All of these areas support students during tough times. If you are willing to help spread the word about this campaign, you can access a social media toolkit here: https://dayofgiving.tntech.edu/pages/social-toolkit-19
While many across the country have supported the Cookeville-Putnam County Tornado Relief Fund, alumni have also reached out to ask how they can help Tech students directly. This campaign ensures that 100% of the funds given will go to programs that help students. If you know someone who is interested in giving to this campaign, encourage them to visit https://dayofgiving.tntech.edu. The campaign will run through Mar. 27.
