    Chemistry Student Claudia McDavid Selected for ACS Student Leadership Award

    The Department of Chemistry would like to recognize Claudia McDavid from Kingsport, TN for receiving the 2023 Student Leadership award from the American Chemical Society (ACS). Claudia is a junior pursuing dual degrees in Chemistry and Biology, and minors in Sociology and Honors. She is a peer mentor for the Honors program and the Secretary of the Tech chapter of the Student Members of the American Chemical Society (ACS). Claudia is one of the 14 students selected by ACS to receive this award. Recipients of this award are selected from competitive pools of students from United States and international universities based on their leadership skills and extracurricular activities. The students selected possess the skills and potential to become future leaders within the ACS professional society.

    As part of her selection Claudia attended the ACS Leadership Institute in Atlanta, GA in January. The Leadership Institute is an invitation-only conference that allows students to attend workshops and network with other student leaders from around the world, as well as ACS leaders from local sections, technical divisions, and the ACS national board.

    To comply with State Audit directives and Tennessee Tech Policy #130, any audit or review reports received from external agencies should be forwarded to Internal Audit when they are received throughout the year. If you or your department have received any audit or review reports from external agencies during FY 2022-23 that have not already been forwarded to Internal Audit, please send them to Deanna Metts (dmetts@tntech.edu) at this time. As you receive reports in the future, please send them to the same address.

  • General Complaint Reporting – Spring 2023

    General Complaint Reporting

    In addition to the Fraud, Waste, or Abuse reporting form, Tennessee Tech also has a form on Internal Audit’s website for confidentially reporting complaints about accounting, internal control, auditing matters, code of conduct, discrimination/harassment/retaliation, and other issues that are NOT fraud, waste, or abuse. Complainants remain COMPLETELY ANONYMOUS to Internal Audit unless the last section of the form is completed. General complaints received on this form are routed to appropriate campus departments for follow-up.

    The form can be submitted online or completed, printed, and mailed to Internal Audit, PO Box 5154, Cookeville, TN 38505.
