Memorial Gym Pool Beginner Swim Clinic
The TN Tech Swim Club will be hosting a beginner swim clinic at the Memorial Gym Pool tonight from 7-8:30pm! Long-time swim instructor Brad Westrick will guide beginners to learning basic swimming techniques. Swim Club Officers will work with intermediate level swimmers to improving lap swimming technique as well as any desired swimming / treading tricks. Trash Force Guest Speaker Dr. Kyle Murphy
Join Trash Force in learning more about environmental chemistry from Dr. Murphy of the Chemistry department! He will be giving a presentation on “Green Practices in the Chemical Upcycling of Microplastics”! Topics include: background of microplastic issue in TN, green chemistry/doing research in labs, “green chemicals” (chemicals which will be used to break down microplastics and upcycling the components into new plastics), and future plans/other plastic work on-going in the chemistry department. Panera bagels, tea, lemonade, and coffee will be provided for those in attendance.
