  • Get Involved with the Office of Multicultural Affairs!

    The Office of Multicultural Affairs is accepting applications for Multicultural Affairs Ambassadors and Mentors for the Reaching Achievement & Committed to Excellence (R.A.C.E.) Mentoring Program for the 2020-21 academic year. These are both great opportunities for students to connect and be involved with the office also while also learning more about the office.

    Due to the severe weather outbreak of last week, campus offices were closed on Tuesday, March 3rd at 8:30 am, and all of Wednesday, March 4th, to allow our Tech community to serve and volunteer.

    Effective Presentations Workshop!

    Being able to give an effective presentation and gaining confidence at public speaking are skills that will carry over into classes and career. Come to this Eagle Works workshop to learn best practices for pitches and presentations, and also find out what NOT to do! This session will help prepare you for the Eagle Works pitches, and help you no matter what you do in the future.

    This workshop will be Wednesday, March 11, at 5 p.m. in the iMakerspace (3rd floor of Volpe Library). After 4:30, the iMakerSpace is accessible via the North Stairwell (past the myTECH Helpdesk).

    Reminder: Nominations for the 2020 Derryberry Award due March 10

    The 2020 Derryberry Award nomination deadline is Tuesday, March 10. This award was established in honor of the late Everett Derryberry after 34 years as president of Tennessee Tech. This prestigious honor grants a plaque and cash award to a graduating senior who demonstrates a high level of scholastic achievement and successful campus involvement in leadership and enrichment opportunities. Individuals who graduated in December 2019 or are scheduled to graduate in May or August 2020 are eligible for nomination.     Free Narcan Training Hosted in Bell Hall

    All students and faculty are invited and encouraged to attend this training to administer a life saving opioid reversal drug! No prior training is required just a willingness to make a difference. The event will be held at 6:30pm in the Multipurpose room of Bell Hall on March the 10th.

  • Spring 2020 Question Persuade Refer Training

    QPR training is a suicide prevention training facilitated by certified gatekeeper instructors designed for provide guidance for suicide prevention. Spring semester training dates are March 5, 2020 @ 11am in Tech Pride Room and April 23, 2020 @ 11am in the Tech Pride Room.
