The Center for Rural Innovation is now hiring a student photographer for events and project-based work for spring semester and beyond.

Applicants must be familiar with photo equipment and editing software. Video experience a bonus. Own equipment preferred but not required.

If you are interested, please email akruszka@tntech.edu and include a link to examples of your work. Pay starts at $15/hr with potential increases.

Tennessee Tech Dining debuted its first Supper Club, an exclusive event with SGA that united campus leaders for gourmet dining, live jazz by a group of talented jazz students, and handcrafted mocktails. Designed to foster connection and celebrate impact, the evening earned praise for creativity and class. This is just the beginning of The Supper Club.

Heather’s Box has been relocated to Jere Whitson Hall on the 3rd floor.

This free food box was established in 2017 in an effort to help alleviate campus food insecurities. Please take what you need, leave what you can.

Meet Bailey Bechtold, our November Student Affairs Student Spotlight!

Bailey is a senior at Tennessee Tech majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Mechatronics. On campus, Bailey is an active member of the Autonomous Robotics Club, where she has served as Project Lead for T.A.L.U.S. and currently serves as Event Planner, coordinating activities and outreach events. Beyond her academic involvement, Bailey serves as a Trailblazer, welcoming prospective students to Tech, and as an academic tutor, helping peers succeed in engineering and math. This spring, Bailey was honored with the Spectrum Award for her outstanding involvement at Tech. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career focused on innovation and service.

University Police has been advised that the City of Cookeville plans to increase parking enforcement on public streets near campus, including ticketing and possibly towing vehicles parked illegally. Students’ best option is to park in a legal, on-campus spot using a vehicle registered with the Parking & Transportation Office. If using street parking, be sure to follow posted city signage and avoid driveways, fire hydrants and no parking zones. As a reminder, the university offers a free shuttle service Monday to Friday when classes are in session. Learn more here. 

Join us for an exciting event featuring international cuisine, a global music DJ, and a variety of creative crafts like pottery, bracelet making, and more, organized by student groups. Enjoy a bonfire and engage with faculty and the Tech community in a lively atmosphere. Co-sponsored by Intercultural Affairs and the SOLO Fund, this event will be held on Thursday, November 13th, from 4:30 to 7:00 PM at Centennial Plaza, with a rain location at MPR (RUC, 282).

Graduate Assistant — The Center for Rural Innovation

TCRI is hiring a Graduate Assistant to support program operations for the Tennessee Rural Fellowship. Responsibilities include building and maintaining workflows/SOPs, templates, and program documents, coordinating calendars, agendas, and notes, organizing shared resources, and assisting with reporting and logistics for meetings, webinars, and communications.
Compensation:$1,200/month + course fee support
Term: Spring 2026 (may be renewable) • Hours: 20/week

Show your Tech Pride and help us make a difference at this year’s TACRAO Annual Meeting!  We’re collecting new children’s books for Chattanooga’s Erlanger Children’s Hospital to share comfort, joy, and the love of reading.

New books for infants through teens (no used books, please) – you can find inexpensive options at Dollar Tree, Ollie’s, and more!  Best of all, books are easy to pack!

💪 Make it Fun:
Turn it into a campus or office competition to see who can bring the most books!
