    Emergency Messaging System

    Today at 12:00 p.m., for approximately an hour, the emergency messaging system will be activated, in all buildings across campus, for testing purposes. This is for testing purposes only and evacuation will not be needed during this timeframe. Thank you, Facilities

  • Voice Mail Interruption – Campus Wide

    The Telecommunications Office will be performing system maintenance on Thursday, June 5th beginning at 12 noon and ending at 1 pm. During this time the voice mail system will not be accessible.   • Derryberry Hall carillon chimes paused for construction

    Derryberry Hall carillon chimes paused for construction

    Please note that the carillon chimes heard from Derryberry Hall will be paused while renovations to the building’s auditorium are completed. Capital Projects expects that the renovations will be finalized around December. Students, faculty and staff can contact capitalprojects@tntech.edu with questions. 

  • UCHRA Shuttles to Run To Downtown

    The UCHRA Shuttles that run around our campus are getting an upgrade and they need your help! The shuttles are completely free to use for anyone on Tennessee Tech campus. Tennessee Tech University has extended shuttle hours on Wednesdays to the Regions Bank on West Broad Street. The shuttles will run students down and pick them up from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. At 7:00pm there will only be one shuttle on campus to take people there and pick them up. They are hoping to soon have a designated shelter along with this program becoming more frequently, but only if enough people know and use the service.

    Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Andy Loftis, Power Plant Manager, who has been a cornerstone of our campus for an incredible 29 years. As many of you know, Andy has played a pivotal role in keeping our campus comfortable—quite literally! From the sweltering summer days to the chilly winter nights, Andy has contributed to the heating and cooling of each and every room and office on campus.

    As he embarks on this new chapter, we encourage everyone to thank Andy for his years of service and the countless ways he has made TTU a better place.  Please join us for a farewell celebration on Tuesday, November 12th from 1:00-3:00 at the Tech Pride Room in the RUC to honor Andy and his incredible legacy at TTU.

    Campus Space Utilization and Allocation Committee Meeting

    If you plan to move or change the use of one of your spaces, please submit a “Space Request Form” found on the Facilities & Business Services website at https://www.tntech.edu/facilities/forms.php. Email the completed form to Julie Baker at jcbaker@tntech.edu.

    Submission of this form ensures that Facilities is aware, approves and records the change.

    The Campus Space Utilization and Allocation Committee will meet Friday, November 1, 2024, 11 a.m. Please submit your form no later than Friday, October 25, 12:00 p.m.

  • Hot Water Outage

    Please be advised that campus steam and hot water will be interrupted beginning 8am on Friday, Oct 18 while a water line repair is completed at the steam plant.  The university is carrying out this repair during Fall Break to minimize disruption to students.

    The temporary hot water and steam outage is expected to last approximately three hours.  This will affect building heat throughout the campus.  Natural gas and electric water heaters will continue to operate at:

    Academic Wellness Center
    East Stadium
    Foundation Hall
    Hooper Eblen
    Lab Science Commons
    New Hall North
    RUC (for food service only)
    Southwest Hall
    Tech Village

    Save the Date: Benefits Annual Enrollment

    Benefits Annual Enrollment begins Tuesday, Oct. 1, and runs through Friday, Oct. 18. This will be your opportunity to change your benefit elections for the 2025 plan year. Please mark your calendar so you won’t miss your enrollment opportunity!

    TTU’s Benefits Fair & Biometric Screening will be held on Oct. 01, 2024, in RUC Multipurpose Room 282 from 9 am – 2 pm. Biometric screening appointments are now available through the ShareCare app. Click here for instructions.

    Facilities System Update – Completed

    The system update has been completed and the Service Request Menu Page is active including the service request forms.

    For convenience, a QuickLink has been added in Tech Express. The service requests can be submitted via a mobile device as well (must be logged into EagleNet). Type go.tntech.edu/workorder in your address bar to access the menu page.

    Additional resource materials will be available soon but a short reference sheet can be found here.
