    The Career Fair Workshop will be on March 19th in Foundation Hall 238 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The workshop will provide best practices, tips, and tricks for succeeding at the upcoming Nashville Area Career Fair.     Paint Night

    On behalf of Residential Life, we invite you to attend a Paint Night in Stonecipher Lecture Hall 113. All supplies are provided as well as free food and drinks. There is also an option for painters to follow along with an instructor or room for them to paint their own image. For those of you non-painters, feel free to come and relax by watching a movie.     Tennessee Technological University Talent Show Cumulating Project Advertisement

    Hello everyone, 

    Do you have a passion for singing and/or playing a musical instrument? Do you have the spirit to dance? Do you have the heart to act a scene from a play? Do you have the inspiration to tell a story through visual art or with a comedic skit? Do you have a talent that you want to share with others within our university and our community? Then you are invited to audition for my talent show cumulating project as a solo or a group act. Through collaboration with the Backdoor Playhouse, this is a free public event.     Did you accept a co-op or long-term internship at the career fair? Need to know if you are on track to complete eligibility? We got you!

    Attend this Co-op Meetup on Thursday, March 7, in the Roaden University Center, Tech Pride Room at 11 a.m. to learn how to be Co-op Eligible!

    The Co-op Meetup will explain the eligibility guidelines for enrolling in the Cooperative Education Program, that applies to all students.

    Please note, any student interested in accepting a Cooperative Education position with an employer MUST attend a Co-op Meetup, prior to accepting an offer.

    ESPN Outdoors Gold Medalist Fly Fisherman Chuck Farneth to Give Demonstration

    Tech On The Fly, Tennessee Tech’s fly-fishing club, is hosting ESPN Outdoors Fly Fishing Gold Medalist Chuck Farneth for a casting demonstration, Friday, March 8, at 3 p.m., on the front lawn of the Labratory Science Commons. The event is free and open to everyone.

    Chuck is an internationally known fly fisherman and guide. He is a certified casting instructor for the Federation of Fly Fishers, and the executive director of Outdoor Legacy, a Christian organization that uses the outdoors as a backdrop for its ministry. He also teaches fly-tying and guides out of Cookeville’s Outdoor Experience.

  • How to give an effective presentation

    Being able to give an effective presentation and gaining confidence at public speaking are skills that will carry over into classes and career. Come to this Eagle Works workshop to learn best practices for pitches and presentations, and also find out what NOT to do! This session will help prepare you for the Eagle Works pitches and will be useful no matter what you do in the future.

    This workshop will be Wednesday, March 6, at 5 p.m. in the iMakerspace.

    The iMakerspace is on the third floor of Volpe Library. Use the north staircase (past the MyTECH helpdesk) to access. If you need an accessible entrance, please email Andrea at akruszka@tntech.edu before 4:30 p.m. that day to arrange.
