    Godspell Auditions Tonight!

    November 19, at 6 p. m. at the Backdoor Playhouse. This is the last night to audition for Godspell, a musical based on “the gospels of st. Matthew,” conceived and directed by John-Michael Tebelek. Music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz. Performances February 27 – March 8. Rehearsals begin mid January.

    Come watch the movie Les Algues vertes [Green Tide].

    This drama is an adaptation of a graphic novel. It tells the true story of a podcast journalist investigating the green tide in Brittany (France) and its possible connection to the death of no less than 3 men and 40 animals. But many are unhappy with her investigation…

    The movie will be shown in French with English subtitles, on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m., in Henderson Hall 205. Free event. Bring a friend and enjoy some free popcorn!

    Have you missed out on some of the Center for Career Development’s Workshops? Join us for the LAST GOLD Career Readiness workshop, where we will recap what you might have missed this summer. The workshop is on Tuesday, November 19th, starting at 11 a.m. in the Tech Pride Room in the Roaden University Center.

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card for attendance credit.

    WITCH Opens at the Backdoor Playhouse!

    Mischief is afoot in the sleepy village of Edmonton and the fate of the world is at stake in this inventive fable by Jen Silverman.

    Performance Dates:

    November 14, 15, 16 at 7:30 p. m. with a matinee Saturday, November 16 at 2 p.m.

    November 21, 22, 23  at 7:30 p.m.

    Tickets are first come, first served at the box office on the night of the performance.

      • General admission: $15
      • Senior citizens: $12
      • Student admission: $5
      Faculty & Staff Night: $5 (November 21, Thursday night performance.)

    The play is rated PG-13. “Witch” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

    Join Oak Ridge National Laboratory for National Security Career Day on Nov. 19th

    You are invited to ORNL National Security Career Day, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in the Ashraf Islam Engineering Building to learn about national security careers. The event includes an information forum with research staff and seminars on research areas. A Mix and Mingle for faculty and students will be held 4 – 5 p.m. in the building atrium. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., they will be on the ground floor of Roaden University Center Food Court.

    Attend the last Co-op Meetup of the semester on Thursday, November 14th, in the Roaden University Center, Tech Pride Room at 3 p.m. to learn how YOU can be Co-op Eligible!
