    Join the Center for Career Development for this PURPLE Career Readiness Workshop on Tuesday, October 29th, starting at 11 a.m. in the Tech Pride Room of the Roaden University Center. Our staff will be there to assist you in learning skills for interviewing.

    This event is open to all students in all majors and counts towards the Gold Career Readiness Certificate for freshman and sophomore students. Bring your Eagle Card for attendance credit.

    Career Spots are pop-up tabling events held by Career Ambassadors in areas across campus! You can drop-in for a quick chat and gather all kinds of information about Handshake, how to find examples of resumes/cover letters, and upcoming events held like career fairs.     2024 Mayberry Lecture – Dr. Tom Collins

    The 2024 Mayberry Lecture will be held on October 31 at 11:00 am in Foundation Hall 238 (Auditorium).

    Dr. Tom Collins is a TTU grad (BS, Chemistry, 1998) who became a distinguished medical doctor specializing in pediatric cardiology. He has held a variety of positions at:

    The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences

    Stanford University School of Medicine

    University of Kentucky College of Medicine

    The quintessential lifelong learner, Dr. Collins recently completed an MS in Leadership at The Citadel and now hosts a podcast called The Science of Leadership.

    School of Nursing’s ESTAR Sanos – Be Healthy Program Provides FREE Vaccines

    ESTAR Sanos – Be Healthy program is an outreach initiative led by Professor Melissa Geist via the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing. It serves rural and Hispanic communities by offering access to health resources, education, and more.

    Recently, ESTAR worked with the Health Hero Vaccination Campaign and El Puente Hispanic Community Center providing a vaccine clinic for kids and families. “We gave 50+ free vaccinations,” said Geist.
