    Submit 2026 Tennessee Tech alumni award nominations by Jan. 31

    All Tennessee Tech faculty, staff, students and alumni are invited to nominate a deserving individual for a 2026 Tennessee Tech Alumni Association award! There are six categories, including two NEW categories for 2026:

      • Distinguished Alumnus
      • Outstanding Young Alumnus
      • Outstanding Service
      • Outstanding Philanthropy
      • Corporate Excellence (NEW)
    • Tennessee Tech Alumni Employee Excellence (NEW)

    The deadline to submit a nomination is Jan. 31.

    Winners will be honored at the Evening of Excellence event this fall.

    Hygiene Drive, Jan 19th–30th

    We encourage you to donate to support the TTU Food Pantry! Donate hygiene items throughout the week! The hygiene drive starts on January 19th and runs through January 30th. Donation boxes will be located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Roaden University Center (RUC), in Intercultural Affairs spaces, and at other campus buildings like TJ Farr and the STEM Center. Suggested items are listed on the attached purple flyer.

Mark your calendars for our Clothing Giveaway, happening on Thursday, January 22, at 11:00 AM in the Multipurpose Room (RUC, 282). This exclusive event is your chance to snag some formal wear just in time for the SOLO Event Gala and other upcoming events.     The Center for Addiction Prevention & Support will host the NASW Tennessee Middle Branch Meeting on Monday, January 26, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. This free event is open to students, faculty, and the community and will focus on Tennessee re-entry issues and best-practice supports for justice-involved individuals.     We invite the TTU community to contribute to our Clothing Giveaway Drive by donating gently used professional attire. The purpose of this event is to provide our students with professional attire for career opportunities and special occasions. Donations can be dropped off at the Intercultural Affairs office in Roaden University Center (RUC 258) or at the designated locations on the attached flyer until the afternoon of January 21st.     The Office of the President is excited to announce our 2025 Ornament Decorating Contest winners! First place was awarded to the Millard Oakley STEM Center, second place was awarded to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, and third place was awarded to Archives & Special Collections.     Fall 2025 Campus-wide Solar System Tour

    Need a break from studying for finals?  The Introduction to Modern Astronomy I (ASTR 1010) class has created a to-scale model of our solar system that fits on campus!  The sun is located in BRUN 243.  From there, walk around campus and locate solar system objects (8 planets, 6 moons, 2 dwarf planets, a comet, and 2 asteroid belts) using the attached map.  There’s some information about extra-solar system objects of interest near BRUN 243.  Objects will be removed by Dec 11.

    Join us as we honor Dr. Douglas Airhart and celebrate his 40 years of dedicated service to Tennessee Tech University! A retirement reception will be held on Friday, December 5th, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Tech Pride Room.
