    Last chance to enter Christmas Ornament Decorating Contest!

    The Office of the President is hosting our inaugural Christmas ornament decorating contest! We are still accepting entries through Friday, December 5th. All departments on campus are encouraged to participate in the festivity. Please register here and note the ornament requirements. This year’s theme is gingerbread, and we want to see your creativity with gingerbread men, gingerbread houses, candy, icing, and any other fun supplies you can think of. Entries are not limited to baked gingerbread, but must not be store bought! The contest will be judged by an impartial group and first, second, and third place prizes will be named in Tech Times on Tuesday, December 16th.

    It is officially the holiday season when we all get together to enjoy Lighting the Quad! Don’t miss this tradition beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2. Join us for music, hot chocolate, t-shirts and more as we turn on the Historic Quad. 

    The inclement weather rain date will be Thursday, December 4.

    The Student Members of the American Chemical Society invite you to our informational session on summer research opportunities on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. in SLH 126. Students that participated in summer programs this summer will discuss Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs), internships, and CISE grants. Topics covered will be how to find opportunities, how to apply, and experiences in various programs. Pizza and drinks will be served.     Take a break and enjoy a FREE cup of coffee while speaking with recruiters from UT Space Institute on Wednesday, November 19, at 11 AM in the RUC’s Swoops Food Court.

    The UT Space Institute is a graduate and research institution in Middle Tennessee. It has become an internationally recognized institution for graduate study and research in engineering, physics, mathematics, and aviation systems.

    Snow Globes and Jeopardy- Center of Addiction, Prevention, and Support Event

    On November 19th at 7:00p.m., the Center of Addiction, Prevention, and Support will be hosting a holiday event with snow globe making, a Jeopardy competition, prizes, and hot cocoa! It is a time to unwind and have fun with friends right before the holidays. This event will be hosted in the Tech Pride Room in the Roaden University Center. We hope to see you there!

    2025 Christmas Ornament Decorating Contest

    The Office of the President is hosting a Christmas ornament decorating contest! This is open to departments across campus, but only one entry per department. The theme is gingerbread, so think all things gingerbread cookies, houses, gumdrop buttons, icing, and the works. Use your creativity! Entries must be able to easily sit or hang on a tree branch. No store bought ornaments can be entered, and all entries must be family friendly. Entries don’t have to be limited to baked gingerbread, but can be made of any kind of craft supplies.

    Registration and ornament drop off opens today, Thursday, 11/13, and runs through Friday, 12/5. Ornaments can be dropped off at the front desk in Derryberry Hall, room 206 and will be judged by an impartial group. First, second, and third place winners will be announced in Tech Times on Tuesday, 12/16. Register here. Who will take home the trophy???
